Ciao! Let me introduce myself: I am Silvia P. a licensed tourist guide of Rome and Vatican City. I am class '74 I am married and I have a 10 years old son. How does it get better than that? Well it does with my job! My husband is french and we lived in London for a while but he once said to me that me without Rome. . . not working. . it is like I need my air!!! Guiding has been my full time job for the past 26 years. . . . and I just love it. I am passionate about what I do and my goal is for my clients to be able to fall in love with Rome the way I do. After all the experience in the field and the knowledge I have cultivated I feel confident to say that I am the most reliable person to help you plan your stay in Rome. I like to call myself a Concierge guide: giving you advices and guidance not only about the tours and the best time to visit the main sites in terms of crowds and weather, but also helping you with tips only a local can give. . . where is the best Gelato? or the best Pizza? Whether you want to dive in history and art or catch the more glamorous side of Rome, if your holiday is about having fun with your kids. . . I am your guide! I can arrange all sorts of tours, if there is something you are curious about, or you have heard of but it is not listed. . . send me an email and I will help you make it happen. All my tours are with skipping the lines tickets and timing can change for the tours depending on the season and the day I will advice you in what is best for you. In high season in order to confirm the tour I need to check tickets availability first. My number one priority is to give you a memorable experience of Rome and help you make the most of your time here. Tourist guide License 2000 Majored in Anthropology in 2004 I am not a driver. I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Discover the fascinating history of the Ancient city of Rome. Did you know that Rome is 2779 years old? I will tell you about the mythical foundation of the city by Romulus and Remo on Palatine Hill. Through a voyage in history we will talk about the gladiators game and the public activities that were led in the Roman Forum. We will find out about the Emperors, the conquests and the problems of one of the most prominent Empires in the world and the base of all western civilizations. The Forum was the downtown of the Ancient city, the political, administrative and religious heart of Rome, it was the site of triumphal processions and elections; the venue for public speeches, criminal trials, and gladiatorial matches; and the nucleus of commercial affairs. The Colosseum also known by the Romans as the Flavian Amphitheatre, was commissioned in AD 72 by Emperor Vespasian. It was completed by his son, Titus, in 80, with later improvements by Domitian. But to hear more we have to go on tour. . .
Depending on the Colosseum's tickets availability, which are timed, we might start either with the Colosseum or the Roman Forum. The tour comprehend the visit of the Colosseum inside and the Roman Forum. There is a security check on each site with metal detectors, the rules are the same of the airport. I strongly recommend to bring water and snacks as there will be no chances of purchasing it during the tour. No dress code. The surface is uneven so wear comfortable shoes. During the summer it may be very hot wearing sunglasses and hats is advised. Put sunscreen during the summer before the tour if you need to. Feel free to contact me to customize the tour! If you travel with under 18 contact me before booking. PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BOOKING, TICKETS ARE NOMIAL SO I NEED FULL NAMES AS IN THE PASSPORT TO BUY TICKETS. YOU WILL HAVE TO SHOW A PROOF OF IDENTITY THE DAY OF THE TOUR AT THE ENTRANCE.
