Hello, my name is Melissa and I'm a Licensed Tourist Guide. I was born in a little and characteristic village overlooking Lake Como and I still live here with my family. My two daughters take the hydrofoil every morning to reach Como to go to high school and I drive every morning from north to south, from east to west to meet my guests in villages and towns. I can say, without any doubt, that we are a real local family. Lake Como isn't just my home but it's something I feel in my soul, in my heart, in my mind. I think that for my job, knowledge is essential. To be a professional tourist guide it is important to have a rich cultural background in history, art, botany and to know all the secrets of the area. I really like to share my passion for traditions, local products and food with my guests and to give them an explosion of emotions they will remember when they go home. During the low season I follow lessons, lectures and courses to improve my own skills and I like to travel to see new countries and to visit museums and art exhibitions. I am a very active person and my hobbies are walking in the mountains and running. I find these activities a way to relax my mind but sometimes I also enjoy laying on the sofa and reading a book. I always tell my guests that one visit is not enough to get to know Lake Como so once you've been here, you need to come back! I'm waiting for you. . . Registered Tourist Guide in Como, Como Lake and Como Area. Degree in foreign languages and tourism. English studied the at Concorde school England, FSE tourism and art postgraduate course. Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I am not a driver but I can arrange a private transportation upon request by private luxury car with AC or by private boat and driver. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

The Lake Como is one of the most beautiful areas in Italy as it boasts breathtaking landscapes, historic and picturesque towns, elegant villas, Mediterranean-style gardens, a mild and pleasant climate. All these beautiful characteristics were already known in Roman times when Como was one of the main centers along Via Regina, a historic route that used to link the Po Valley with the northern areas of the Alps. A nice walk throughout the city of Como starts from the beautiful public garden near the lake, with an imposing Memorial to the Fallen of the Great War and Tempio Voltiano, built in remembrance of Alessandro Volta, inventor of the electric batteries who was born in this city. After a pleasant walk along the lakeshore, we can reach the city center, walking along the quaint streets of Como, the Basilica di San Fedele, the Civic Museums, the Art Gallery, Piazza Vittoria, and Porta Torre. We will conclude our tour with the Basilica di Sant'Abbondio, a masterpiece of the Romanesque style.
After meeting up, we'll cover the following spots: Como The Cathedral (inside) Piazza Volta Piazza San Fedele Church of San Fedele (inside) Porta Torre Casa del Fascio (outside) Teatro Sociale (outside) Piazza Cavour Tempio Voltiano (from outside) Diga Foranea ** The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests, please feel free to contact me. NOTE: In the museums, in the archaeological sites and in general in all the churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below knees. Do not bring large items (e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they are not permitted.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
