Ciao, buongiorno! My name is Alessandra and I'm a true local in Como area, as I was born and grew up here. I'm a Licensed Tourist Guide and a Tour Director, and I love sharing the beauties of Lake Como and the local stories area with people interested in discovering the area. I graduated in Art History at Bologna University and studied Photography in Milan. Together we could discover this city, founded by the Romans more than 2000 years ago and considered to be one of the most lovely cities in Northern Italy, or we could get on a boat to have a look at the stunning villas on the shores of Lake Como. We could take the funicular, a kind of cable car that will take us on the top of a hill to get an amazing view over Como and the sorrounding mountains, or we can enjoy a scenic cruise to Bellagio, "the pearl of Lake Como", a quaint village well-known in the world for the landscape and the athmosphere. Off the beaten track: discover a typical village on the lake and short hike on Via Verde
Overview of your Como tour
This tour will help you get to explore a genuine corner of Lake Como, combining a ferry ride on the lake with the visit of a gem on its western shore. We'll meet in Como and board a public ferry for a 30 mnts ride through villas and other highlights: once in Moltrasio we'll get off. There we'll explore the narrow alleys and roads winding up to the "Via Verde", an highly panoramic track - mainly flat - which connects Moltrasio, Carate Urio and Laglio. Among Romanesque churches, gardens and ancient palaces we'll start our walk: on one side you'll see the lake, on the other houses, orchards, gardens or simply peaceful woods. A couple of steep ascents on the way. After a couple of hours we might enjoy a refreshing drink or something to eat before heading back to Como. This tour can be customized on request. Please bring water and hiking shoes.

1 - Pick up at your hotel if in Como city centre/ train station/ meeting in Piazza Cavour 2 - Short walk to the ferry pier 3 - Departure for the ferry ride (30 mnts) . I'll show you the highlights of this area (Villa Olmo, the famous 5 star luxury hotel Villa D'Este, the former villa of the designer Gianni Versace, the quaint villages and much more!). 4 - visit of Moltrasio 5 - hike on the Via Verde (part of it, back and forth) 6 - return to Como by ferry 7 - grazie e ARRIVEDERCI!
