Buongiorno and welcome on Lake Como! My name is Silvia and I feeel proud to be a guide. I wake up in the morning and I know that everyday is unique because I can see the beauty of lake Como from the eyes of my guests and I never have to forget how lucky am I in living such in a wonderful place. I started to work as an employee in the main tourism offices of the region. I graduated in foreign languages for art and cultures and after a period spent between Germany and Switzerland, 2012, I passed the exam to be a licensed tour guide on Lake Como and the one to became a licensed tour leader. In Switzerland I had got the chance to work for a tour operator company where I learned how to lead big groups as well as to provide taylormade tourism experiences for couples, families and small groups. 2018 with the birth of my twins I decided to come back to my first love and to work as a guide on lake Como. I will be honoured to have got the chance to make you feel love my homeland. Can't wait to meet you! My education was mostly concentrated to the study of foreign languages (english, german and french), art and cultures. 2010 I obtained my degree at the University of Genova. Licensed Lake Como Tour Guide since 2012 and Licensed tour leader since 2013 Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver or by private boat. Just to clarify, I only arrange hotel or port pick-up and drop-off through the driver. The best way to discover Lake Como is by boat. This is the reason why you can't miss this amazing boat tour. While relaxing on a boat, you can enjoy the central area of lake Como and its colours, charming little fisherman villages, stone houses and majestic villas, old churches, high mountains and places full of history. We also have the chance to visit the enchanting Villa del Balbianello in Lenno, situated in a isolated position up on a peninsula overlooking the lake. This XVIII century building, sorrounded by a stunning botanical garden, is nowadays property of the National Trust of Italy and open to the public. Visiting its beautiful rooms you can enjoy the history of life of his last owner, Guido Monzino, a businessman and great explorer, who installed in the villa a sort of personal museum with a rich collection of rare pieces of art and forniture coming from all around the world. Today the Villa is also famous to be the location of big movies: James Bond Casino Royal and Star Wars.

Villa del Balbianello is closed to the public every Monday and Wednesday. The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests, please feel free to contact me. NOTE: In the museums, in the archaeological sites and in general in all the churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below knees. Do not bring large items (e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they are not permitted.
