Villa del Balbianello and Lake Como Cruise - Full Day Tour

We really enjoyed spending the day with Alessandra. We started with a short walk around Como where Alessandra shared some tidbits of Como history. Then we took the fast ferry to Lenno, where we had a decent lunch at a restaurant overlooking the lake (beautiful views!). After lunch, we walked to Villa del Balbienello where Alessandra gave us a great private tour. She gave us access to rooms in the villa that we would not have seen without a private tour. The villa is really like a museum celebrating the travels and treasures of its last private owner. Alessandra told us great stories about this owner. The terrace of the villa was featured in Star Wars Episode Two where Anakin kisses Padme. After the tour, we took a water taxi back to Lenno and then the slow ferry back to Como - on the ferry Alessandra continued to talk about the lake and the private villas dotting the shoreline.

We very much enjoyed our tour with Alessandra. The weather was not good unfornately but she did everything to make the day enjoyable. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the area and she seems to really enjoy her work and has a very pleasant demeanor and is fun to be around. I recommend Alessandra highly!

Very helpful. Helped us arrange for private boats. Excellent guide at the Villa we visited. Very flexible to accommodate our needs and tour desired. Organized an excellent lunch at the last minute for 11 people. Very knowledgeable about the various Villas and history of the area. Also helpful for shopping in Bellagio. Recommend.

Alessandra planned another spectacular day trip to my family and me! Given that the low season meant limited transport options, she facilitated our travel to/from several locations to ensure that there were no logistical issues.
