Villa del Balbianello and Lake Como Cruise - Full Day Tour

Even though the name "Villa del Balbianello" may sound like a tongue-twister, I'm pretty sure you'll learn how to pronounce it in perfect Italian, after visiting this spectacular place on Lake Como! This villa, its history and the collections kept there, the gardens surrounding the mansion and the views from the peninsula towards Bellagio and the Alps will most probably make you want to remember its name. What I really enjoy the most and what makes me wake up with a smile whenever my day includes a visit to Balbianello, is that this place is the legacy left by a very special man, the Count Guido Monzino. We'll discover together his biography, his passion for expeditions, his unique taste for art objects, furniture and details. Everything is still as he left it, a treasure to be savored during our private visit in the rooms. Balbianello has also inspired many movie directors, among them George Lucas. Our trip to the villa will include a cruise on the lake and an essential visit of Como.

1 - Pick up at your hotel if in Como city centre/ train station/ meeting in Piazza Cavour, Como 2 - Walk to the ferry pier and departure for the panoramic cruise to Lenno, by ferry (1, 5 hrs) or hydrofoil (40mnts). Sightseeing of the most famous villages and villas 3 - Arrival in Lenno and free time for a quick lunch 4 - Transfer to Villa del Balbianello, either by private boat or walking (25 mnts, partially uphill) 5 - Visit of the gardens and of the Villa (tour inside 45 mnts) 6 - Return to Lenno, ferry/hydrofoil back to Como 7 - Basic visit of Como (30 mnts): piazza Cavour, Cathedral and piazza Volta 8 - Thanks and ARRIVEDERCI!
