My name is Roberta and I'm a Licensed Tourist Guide in the National Register of Italian Tourist Guides. I have been a tourist guide for the entire Como area since 2003. I attended summer training courses for English as a Foreign Speaker at the “Learn English” professional School in London and regularly partake in history, art & tourism conferences & courses. I was born in an amazing village overlooking Lake Como, where I live with my family. I have two teenagers who have always travelled with my husband and me. I taught them to love art and history, such as Athens with its spectacular Acropolis and the triumphant Greek art. Besides travelling, I also like reading historical novels. Personally, I believe I have the best job in the world! Because not only do I get to talk about our history, artistic heritage and traditions with simplicity and joy; I also love seeing people's eyes lighting up by the natural and artistic beauties of our lake. I love my beautiful lake with its villages scattered along the mountains, the towns along the shores, stunning hills and wild valleys. I can arrange luxury transportation in a Mercedes with a professional driver to cover all of this. Overview of your Como tour
On this tour, I invite you to explore 3 different Italian Villas that date back centuries. The oldest is Villa Carlotta, a 17th-century residence transformed into a neoclassical gem by Count Sommariva. There's also Villa Balbianello, a 18th-century aristocratic retreat built by Cardinal Durini that showcases the remarkable art collection of its last owner, Count Monzino. The most modern of the 3 is stunning Villa Melzi d’Eril, located in Bellagio, "the pearl of the lake". A masterpiece of 19th-century Neoclassical architecture, it presents the first English-style garden on Lake Como. Join me for an unforgettable journey through history, art, and nature!

·Our tour will begin exploring Villa Carlotta, where we'll admire masterpieces by Canova, Acquisti, Thorwaldsen, Appiani, and Wicar. ·Next, we'll stroll through its botanical gardens with over five hundred plant species. ·Next, we’ll get on a boat to sail along Lake Como’s picturesque coast, taking in its most iconic views. ·Afterwards, we'll enjoy a true local experience by having lunch at traditional restaurant. ·In the afternoon, we’ll head to Lenno to visit Villa Balbianello and its gardens. ·What follows will be a visit to Bellagio's historical centre. ·Our journey will end with an exploration of the gardens of Villa Melzi d'Eril. The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests. NOTE: Villa del Balbianello is closed on Mondays and Wednesdays
