Buongiorno! My name is Alessandra and I live in Domaso, one of the beautiful towns dotting Lake Como's shores. I was born and I grew up here, and after being away to attend the university, I decided to come back. This is my favourite place on Earth and I realised that my love for Lake Como had to be shared. I earned my license as a Tourist Guide in 2008 and since then I love helping people discover this lovely place, through several tours, thought and based on the personal interests and needs of every visitor. Being a true local, I can tell you a lot about not only the monuments or the history of Lake Como, but also about everyday life here, about our traditions, our dialects and every little thing that makes this place so unique. This area offers several interesting destinations. The city Como is the most important of the area (even the lake is named after it!) and has stunning churches and monuments to visit. The Lake is famous for the beautiful villas on its shores, formerly used as summer residences by noble families: today some of them are museums, often surrounded by luxuriant gardens, and reveal the wealth and taste of the previous owners. One of the best experinces, which I highly recommend, is a boat tour on the lake: it allows you to see things from the best point of view ever! I studied Foreign Languages and I attended specific courses for my job, such as History, Art History, Geography. I attended several courses to be able to guide people on particular themed itineraries. I am not a driver. I can be with you in your car or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.
