Hi! My name is Fiamma and I'm a guide of the Spina Verde Natural Park of Como and a licensed tour leader. I was born in Como and grew up on the edge of the park, that is why I really like to introduce tourists to the beauties, the history and the legends of this beautiful area. I've been studying art and design in Milano and, because of my love for sharing beauty with people, besides working in the art field, I've been working with tourists for years. I like art, history, nature, walking in the mountains, but always without running, enjoying the tour and the pleasures of the little things it offers me. I also like to travel and, as a tourist, I know how important it is, to find a friendly and happy guide, who can really help us as much as possible with all the little things we need for having a successful tour. Today it's not easy to go off the beaten tracks, but I promise we will do it and you will enjoy it! Como, its beauties and the secret little things that only a local knows, are waiting for you!!! I'll be happy to customize the tour on the base of the travelers needs, do not hesitate to ask me! I'm a licensed guide of the Spina Verde Regional Park of Como, a natural area. I 'm a licensed tour leader and I can take you around the Como area organizing the transfer and giving some informations but I'm not a tour guide and cannot describe monuments etc.

In my childhood, I didn't use to play "guard and thieves", we use to play "border guards against smugglers". Some of my friends' fathers and mothers were smugglers and sometimes in the night we could hear the guards shooting in the air behind my house, in the wood on the Swiss border. In this tour you will discover what it means to live in a land whose border with Switzerland is so easy to cross due to the lack of mountains. For centuries, and still today, goods and people have been crossing this border, strongly affecting the local history. Technical data: Distance: 4mi / 6, 5 Km Walking time: about 4, 30 h Uphill height difference: about 600 ft /180 m For good walkers - Good walking shoes with non-slip so
I'll meet you in Como and, in about 15 minutes by car or van, we will get to the little S. Rocco church, the beginning of our walk of about 4, 30 hours, on the smugglers traces. The path, in the wood of the Spina Verde Natural Park, will lead us to find the old and new signs of the passage of goods and people through the wood of this green thorn, which divide Italy from Switzerland. Going up and down on the park paths, I will tell you some funny stories about the gold times of smuggling so that, knowing where the smugglers passages are, you will easily pretend you are one of them who's trying to cross the border escaping from the guards! Literally walking with one foot in Italy and the other one in Switzerland, we will get to the beautiful and panoramic little church of Gesa a Volt (the local dialect for "church at the top"). Here we can decide to go directly back to Como or to stop for eating a tasty meal before returning to town. Note: I will be happy to adjust the tour according to your needs.

It's a hiking tour but for the transfer, we will use a modern, clean, air-conditioned minivan.
