Buongiorno and welcome on Lake Como! My name is Silvia and I feeel proud to be a guide. I wake up in the morning and I know that everyday is unique because I can see the beauty of lake Como from the eyes of my guests and I never have to forget how lucky am I in living such in a wonderful place. I started to work as an employee in the main tourism offices of the region. I graduated in foreign languages for art and cultures and after a period spent between Germany and Switzerland, 2012, I passed the exam to be a licensed tour guide on Lake Como and the one to became a licensed tour leader. In Switzerland I had got the chance to work for a tour operator company where I learned how to lead big groups as well as to provide taylormade tourism experiences for couples, families and small groups. 2018 with the birth of my twins I decided to come back to my first love and to work as a guide on lake Como. I will be honoured to have got the chance to make you feel love my homeland. Can't wait to meet you! My education was mostly concentrated to the study of foreign languages (english, german and french), art and cultures. 2010 I obtained my degree at the University of Genova. Licensed Lake Como Tour Guide since 2012 and Licensed tour leader since 2013 Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver or by private boat. Just to clarify, I only arrange hotel or port pick-up and drop-off through the driver. I will meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Let's enjoy together an amazing view over the lake and Alps reaching Brunate "the balcony of the Alps" by funicolar. A nice and easy walk brings you in about 20 minutes to the "Fonte del Pissarottino" from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the the lake, the Alps and the shores of the southern villages with their beautiful villas, churches and gardens. From Brunate we can also enjoy the amazing panoramic view over Como downtown with its majestic cathedral "Santa Maria Maggiore" the ancient roman layout, and the harbour. The rest of the tour is dedicated to the visit of Como downtown: an easy walk throught the maze of elegant little roads, enchanting squares and buildings, makes you discover more about the history and the culture of this beautiful town and the way of life of local people. Como is also famous to be the birthplace of Alessandro Volta, the scientist father of the " Voltaic Pile".

This is a walking tour. To reach Brunate we'll catch the Funicolar, public transportation. Funicular might be closed/ not working in certain days because of strikes or unexpected maintenance works. In this unlikely case, we could reach Brunate by taxi (not included)
