Ciao. This is Anna, a very passionate botanist. I have a University degree in Natural Science but my passion is above all for greenery. I'm a licensed Guide of the Spina Verde Regional and Natural Park of Como. I was born in Como but my parents were from Menaggio, one of the most beautiful villages on the lake. So, thanks to them and thanks to my little dog Otto, I started to discover some fantastic and hidden places of this area. Now I'm able, and also very glad, to introduce you in the beauty of this area, in the rich history and the amazing landscapes that make the lake of Como one of the most beautiful places in the world. My purpose is to make tourists appreciate uncrowded and unknown places. With a beautiful hike, we go together to discover the wonders of nature and its secrets in a relaxing and regenerative context. Overview of your Como tour
Are you seeking traditions and picturesque sights? Come with me on this hiking tour! Let's go to Sacro Monte togheter (Sacred Mountain declared Unesco World Heritage Site in 2003) that, with its sanctuary, are situated above the village of Ossuccio. Just looking up, you'll see the reference point for the faithful, for art enthusiasts or just lovers of the peace and quiet. In this spiritual atmosphere you'll walk along a Via Crucis formed by 14 shrines with human sized statues. Atop this hill, there's the sanctuary of the Beata Vergine del Soccorso where the view of Lake Como is simply breathtaking. Moving away from the tranquility of this place, by walking in the shadows of olive trees, along flowering meadows, we'll walk across small characteristic villages. After taking a look at the House of Christmas Nativity Scenes handmade by the people who live in this area, we'll get to the beautiful Tremezzo. Your Como tour itinerary
-We'll meet in Menaggio, and in a private transportation we'll arrive at the beginning of the Via Crucis in Ossuccio. -We'll walk along an ancient and wide cobbled avenue, in the shadow of big trees. -We'll walk slowly uphill, looking at the 14 shrines with huge wooden statues and paintings represent the Myteries of the Rosary. -Once at the Sanctuary of Beata Vergine del Soccorso, after admiring the view, we'll descend towards Bonzanigo a small, very particular and nice village of the lake Como. -We cross a beautiful and charateristic stone bridge, olive trees fields and then we'll find the House of the Christmas Nativity scenes. -From there we'll continue our hike among cypress and amazing viwes of the lake until we get to Tremezzo. There we'll find the private transportation that takes us back to Menaggio. Disclaimer: Comfortable shoes are strongly suggested! This tour can be arranged tailored to your needs.
