Ciao, buongiorno! My name is Alessandra and I'm a true local in Como area, as I was born and grew up here. I'm a Licensed Tourist Guide and a Tour Director, and I love sharing the beauties of Lake Como and the local stories area with people interested in discovering the area. I graduated in Art History at Bologna University and studied Photography in Milan. When I'm not working as a private guide, I teach Photography and, in my free time, I love traveling around the world. I have 2 kids, one is a teenager and the other a baby, so they keep me always pretty busy! I enjoy working with families and kids and I'd be more than happy to plan a tailor-made tour for you. Please contact me if you need any info or you have any doubt. Lake Como area has a lot to offer. Together we could discover this city, founded by the Romans more than 2000 years ago and considered to be one of the most lovely cities in Northern Italy, or we could get on a boat to have a look at the stunning villas on the shores of Lake Como. We could take the funicular, a kind of cable car that will take us on the top of a hill to get an amazing view over Como and the sorrounding mountains, or we can enjoy a scenic cruise to Bellagio, "the pearl of Lake Como", a quaint village well-known in the world for the landscape and the athmosphere. Looking forward to meeting you in Como! The rare beauty of Villa Carlotta and a slow-pace cruise on Lake Como are the ingredients of this tour and will give you the authentic flavor of the area! My favorite moment in Villa Carlotta is when, just after passing the ticket booth and the narrow passage between the high hedge and the balustrade with Greek and Roman gods and goddesses, we find ourselves right in front of the lush Italian style garden and of the Villa façade. That's a moment of astonishment and pure aesthetic pleasure, enriched by the sound of the water in the fountain. Then we can start to explore the gardens, admire its wonders as the "tunnel of citruses" or the azaleas collection, discover the most romantic corners created in the 18th century. But Villa Carlotta is not only a place for garden lovers: I'm also very proud to show the art collection in which there are masterpieces that I've been studying on books at the university, as "Eros and Psyche", the icon of Antonio Canova, and the exhibition "Vita in Villa" in the basement

Alessandra was wonderful!! I cannot say enough positive things about her. We were in Lake Como celebrating my mother's 93rd birthday. Alessandra planned a scenic driving tour around the lake and tour of Villa Carlotta tailored specifically to accommodate my mother's mobility issues. She was very flexible and changed the itinerary as needed to accommodate Mom's wheelchair without missing a beat. She was exceptionally knowledgeable, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with her. I highly recommend her!
Our guide, Alessandra, was wonderful. The day started with inclement weather however with her guidance we adjusted, and had a terrific day of touring the Lake including a delicious lunch experience in Bellagio. Allesandra knows her history and relates it so well; what a lovely person and would gladly like having her guide us again!
There cannot be a nicer, more professional and knowledgeable guide than Alessandra. We were fortunate to have spent the day with her on Lake Como, Bellagio and Villa Carlotta. She was informative, flexible and a pleasure to be with !
Alessandra was a wonderful guide. She tailored the tour to our needs and was very knowledgeable. She even took the time to help us find a market once the tour ended. I highly recommend Alessandra and this tour. Lake Como is a beautiful spot.
We had a fun day with Alessandra. She is very knowledgeable.

For the cruise, we'll use the ferry system of Lake Como. Details here: http://www.navigazionelaghi.it/eng/c_flotta1.asp?ID=10 On our way to Tremezzo we'll get on a normal ferry: a slow sailing is the best way to see the shores and have time to enjoy the landscape and the villas. To return to Como, you may choose to take the hydrofoil, which is considerably faster: instead of 2 hrs, only 50 minutes/ 1 hour maximum. Requires prebooking and a supplement (4.40 €).
