Como by boat and funicular

I created this itinerary by identifying with the tourist visiting the city for the first time and I think this might be something I'd like to do. From Como we will go up the funicular to Brunate from where we can enjoy an incredible view of the lake. From the arrival station it is also possible to take a short 15-minute walk to reach a beautiful panoramic terrace, or, for the fitter, go up to the lighthouse from where you have a breathtaking view of the lake (40 minutes uphill). The second of the itinerary part will allow us to appreciate the small lake villages with the famous villas and lush gardens. We will make stops that will take us along the ancient streets between the stone houses and perhaps enjoy an aperitif by the lake. Once back in Como, we'll take a short tour of the lively historic center, rich in history, shops, and cafes.

Once in Como, we'll take the funicular that, in 7 minutes, will take us to Brunate, 730 meters above sea level. Once at the top, a splendid view of the lake and the city awaits us. If you prefer, we can take a short 15-minute walk on the plain to reach a panoramic terrace overlooking the lake, or climb for about 40 minutes to the lighthouse, at 910 meters. Upon returning to Como, we'll take a public boat to one of the most picturesque villages on the lake, where we can stroll or enjoy an aperitivo. Once back in Como, we can spend another half hour walking around the old town.
