A Como Lake Unique Walk - Private Half Day Tour

Do you know why a lot of celebrities like this part of the Como Lake? From the Romans, till today this area has always captured travelers for its mixture of peace and beauty. Beautiful views, narrow little roads, olive groves and friendly people: this is what you are going to find in this tour. Going up and down on the steep stairs overlooking the lake, we will cross little villages, beautiful natural areas and the old quarries that have given work to the local populations for many years and we will understand how, millions of years ago, these rocks were formed. But there's also something which is not even easy to describe: it's the special atmosphere that made Leonardo da Vinci, Napoleone, Bellini and many others, love this lake so much.

I'll meet you in a Como and, in about 25 minutes by boat, we will get to the little village from where we will start our tour. Walking on a stone paved little road we will go up to the upper side of the village. From here, we will continue following the course of the lake towards Como. Slowly walking on pedestrian little roads, crossing typical villages where life goes on in a simple way, we will admire the beautiful nature and landscape around us. In the second part of our itinerary we will cross the ancient quarries of the famous "Pietra di Moltrasio", a particular local stone also used for building the medieval city walls. Going up and down on the steep stairs overlooking the lake, we will cross the old quarries till the next houses. We will then walk down to the nice village of Cernobbio and, from here, back to Como by boat. Attention please: the path is well marked, but sometimes without protection.
