Hello, my name is Melissa and I'm a Licensed Tourist Guide. I was born in a little and characteristic village overlooking Lake Como and I still live here with my family. My two daughters take the hydrofoil every morning to reach Como to go to high school and I drive every morning from north to south, from east to west to meet my guests in villages and towns. I can say, without any doubt, that we are a real local family. Lake Como isn't just my home but it's something I feel in my soul, in my heart, in my mind. I think that for my job, knowledge is essential. To be a professional tourist guide it is important to have a rich cultural background in history, art, botany and to know all the secrets of the area. I really like to share my passion for traditions, local products and food with my guests and to give them an explosion of emotions they will remember when they go home. During the low season I follow lessons, lectures and courses to improve my own skills and I like to travel to see new countries and to visit museums and art exhibitions. I am a very active person and my hobbies are walking in the mountains and running. I find these activities a way to relax my mind but sometimes I also enjoy laying on the sofa and reading a book. I always tell my guests that one visit is not enough to get to know Lake Como so once you've been here, you need to come back! I'm waiting for you. . . At Lake Como we believe that the best way to spend a holiday in our beautiful region is to learn about the culture, see the colors, taste the flavors and soak up the atmosphere with a local. We'll visit the stunning lake with its amazing villas by private boat. During our boat tour we'll stop in three different old and charming villages to have an Italian coffee break, a wine tasting and a great Italian gelato. Sailing to the villages we'll pass in front of stunning, rich and old Villas. We are going to stop in Bellagio, the pearl of the Lake, where we will enjoy the time to walk down the suggestive staircases with characteristic shops, romantic restaurants and old monuments. It will be an unforgettable day!

Our Lake Como tour with Melissa and Davida (our boat skipper) was the highlight of our 25 day trip to Italy and Croatia. Melissa’s knowledge of both Como and Bellagio and the Villas on the lake gave us insight into centuries of life around the Lake. She even directed us to silk scarf shopping in Bellagio which was the perfect souvenir to take home. The boat was a wooden boat which was stunning and comfortable for our group of 8 for the 4 hours we were on the lake. Prosecco was the perfect way to celebrate the wonderful day as we rode back to Como.
