Alessandra is an absolute gem, the Da Vinci of guides. A gifted conveyer of knowledge; whether it pertains to art, architecture, geography, flora, or cuisine. Alessandra conveys the beauty of what is being seen, or in the context of how it pertains to history. Her knowledge is vast, her personality warm, her conversations engaging, and her tours flexible as to changing needs. We booked her for two separate tours, and we were oh so very happy with both. As a local, her personal recommendations for restaurants were spot on. While Lake Como has much to lure you back, Alessandra compels you to want to come back sooner! We’ve engaged many guides over the years—excellent guides, each in their own right, and just when you think you’ve already been blessed with the best… Alessandra magically appears and surpasses even those previous experiences.

Another great experience with Tours by Locals. Alessandra is a wonderful guide. I highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking about a walking tour of Como and a visit to Brunate to take in the views and learn the history of this town high above Como. Alessandra is welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure spending our morning with her. And, she was gracious enough to allow me to practice my Italian!

Alesssndra was a joy to work with. Knows her stuff, and more importantly, tailored her approach to our mixed group of 12 adults, teens, and gradeschoolers. Thoroughly Italian, and yet comfortable with our (American) group. Fun and interactive; “reads the room.” Resourceful and provided key local tips for securing return hydrofoil tickets to upper Lske Como, etc. Recommend without hesitation.

Alessandra was fantastic! Her knowledge and adeptness of dealing with different personalities of my group was terrific. She accommodated all our needs and questions. She had the insight to buy our funicular tickets ahead of time .( We beat a long line). She was the perfect guide to give us a basic understanding of beautiful Como and its history. She also gave us shopping and restaurant information which was very helpful for the rest of the trip. I would recommend her over and over again.

Very nice Saturday morning with our enthusiastic guide who helped a to get a good feeling about Como. We strongly recommend her after our family tour of Como visiting many places in a smooth way and leaving us in a perfect spot for our continued visit of Como!

We enjoyed a magical day with Alessandra. She had tickets pre-purchased so we avoided the lines and the tour was a perfect introduction to Como from the mountain to the water. With wine tasting in between. This is a great introduction to the area.
