I would love to share my love for the island of Crete with you during one of my tours! Crete has been my base and my home for the past 7 years, although I have lived in different places such as Athens, the U.K. and Spain for several years. I’m a licensed tour guide from the National School of Tour Guides in Greece and I try to bring the island’s rich history to life through engaging and immersive experiences. My previous background in Psychology and Counseling, as well as a master’s degree in Social and Solidarity Economy, have shaped my approach – one that values human connection, adaptability and people’s stories. Having lived in different countries, I understand diverse perspectives and enjoy creating personalized tours that cater to different interests and bring out the similarities between the different cultures. I moved back to Crete to embrace a slower pace of life, spending more time closer to nature and engage in food production, by helping with the family’s orchards and I even have my own garden! My aim is to share the Cretan way of life, introduce you to local people and businesses, show you the hidden gems and offer you a deeper understanding of the island’s history, culture and traditions. I provide a warm, professional and flexible experience, allowing room for spontaneity.

Join me in this tour through the Old Town and the Archaeological museum as we make sense of what happened in Chania and why it matters today. This tour is ideal for history and archaeology lovers, like me! We can visit the new Archaeological museum in the outskirts of the city only a short taxi drive away. It is an elegant and modern space, with a clear presentation of the excavations findings. We' ll explore the historical evolution of Crete, from neolithic and Minoan times to Roman and Byzantine period. Then we can step outside, drive back to the city and explore where some of these items were actually found. The focus of this walking tour is to discover the ancient city and ruins that are still visible today and the best preserved historical monuments of the city.
The route is customizable according to your personal interests and pace. Our suggested route is as follows: - Visit of the Archaeological Museum ( about an 1 hour 15 minutes). - The Sabionara Gate/Venetian Walls - Venetian Dockyards - Minoan boat real life replica in one of the Dockyards - Santa Maria dei Miracoli - Saint Cathrines excavation site - Active Excavation site on Kastelli Hill - Walk along the Byzantine Walls of Chania - St Nickolas Church/Sultan Ibrahim Han old Mosque in Splantzia Area - The Aga Mosque - The Saints Anargyroi Church - The Yali Mosque or Kutsuk Hassan Mosque - The old Town Hall - The Renier Neighbourhood - Firkas Fort
