I was born in Normandy, France, where I also studied. After graduating in 1981, I served in the French Army (Gendarmerie). My dedication to service led me directly to the tourism and service industry where I have been a guide for the past 10 years. And as a true native of France, I have the natural ability to reveal the history and culture of my country by creating memorable experiences for my clients. I also bring with me a passion for art. I discovered the joy of painting when I was given a painting set on my eighth birthday - It was love at first sight! I continued to refine my artistic talent, under a Belgium artist, while I traveled across Europe buying art and antiques. After many years of managing my own antiques and art gallery in Paris, I ventured to the United States in 1999 and spent about 14 years there. Since then, I have returned to Paris and I balance my time cross-continent as a professional guide and a listed artist. WSET diploma.(Sommelier)

French cuisine is widely recognized as one of the best in the world, celebrated for its refinement, diversity, and richness. It reflects an ancient gastronomic tradition that has evolved over centuries, telling stories of regions, terroirs, and craftsmanship. This culinary journey invites you to explore iconic dishes that have become symbols of the French way of life. Cheese, with over 1,200 varieties, is a true national pride. Another pillar is charcuterie, with its varied delicacies like pâtés, terrines, and sausages, showcasing tradition and skill. French cuisine also offers unique experiences with dishes like frog legs, snails or foie gras considered delicacies. And no French meal would be complete without wine; France’s renowned vineyards offer a perfect pairing for every dish. Sharing French gastronomy is about enjoying flavors, discovering culture, and savoring moments of conviviality. Experience this journey and appreciate the richness of our heritage.
The tour will start at your hotel or rental place. I am not offering a regular walking food tour with just a piece of this and a piece of that. After walking through the streets and showing you some typical food stores, I will explain the French way of buying groceries in Paris. We will then spend two hours in a small local restaurant where we can enjoy typical dishes from our cuisine and savor different wines. FYI: The legal drinking age in France is 18.
