Bonjour, and welcome to France! My name is Olesya, and I am a professional, licensed guide. I first came to Paris twenty years ago to study at Sorbonne University, and from there, I gave a piece of my heart to this magical city. My love for Paris is ever-growing, and I would be more than happy to share it with you! After graduating from Sorbonne University, where I studied English philology and literature, I worked as a professional translator for numerous Parisian and international translation agencies. Striving to be more in touch with other people and deepen my knowledge in history of art, I pursued my studies at the National Guides' School in Paris and the Ecole du Louvre to become a professional guide. Now, fully licensed, I am delighted to introduce you to the magic of Paris and its rich, fascinating history and outstanding architecture. Paris is truly where history is so alive that you can literally touch it. With me as your guide, you will discover Paris and gain a bucket-load of knowledge. But don't worry! There are no classes, homework, or tons of research to do here. Simply allow me to lead you through the streets of Paris - in a relaxing, easygoing, and enjoyable way! The great part is that anyone can benefit from my tours, and they are 100% family-friendly. All tours can also be tailored according to your needs and desires. What's more is that being a fully licensed guide gives me a little (huge!) advantage to skip all the crowds and queues in most of the museums and monuments! My biggest enjoyment on tours is to "crack the codes" of museum masterpieces. I connect with people individually, giving them the keys to better appreciate artworks and monuments, translating them into a language you can understand. I love seeing faces brighten with new knowledge! I mostly enjoy surprising people - and I like to be surprised myself. Paris is the perfect location for this! Are you ready to journey on your thrilling French adventure? - French Government License that enables me to guide you through all museums and monuments with priority access - no queuing here! - Degree in History of Art obtained at the School of the Louvre (École du Louvre) - Master's degree in French and English linguistics, philology, and literature.

Visiting the Louvre Museum without a guide can be a daunting and overwhelming experience, but this visit is a breeze with me at your side! During this two-hour private guided tour in the world's largest museum, I'll introduce you to the most incredible and acclaimed works that will reveal their stories and secrets. Together, we'll learn about a multitude of Greek, Roman, Renaissance, and French classical art by looking at revered European artwork from the greats, such as Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Jacques-Louis David, and Delacroix - true geniuses who have shaped the history of art. Let's also not forget the fascinating architectural history of the Louvre's pre-museum life as a royal palace. Experience the breath-taking beauty of the Louvre amid a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere, exploring the connections between epochs and masterpieces in an engaging and fluid way!
She was wonderful !
Olesya was great! I am so glad I booked this private tour for my daughter (13yrs) and myself with her. We were running late to meet Olesya, as it was our first morning in Paris, and we were a little jet lagged. But she was understanding and flexible. We got in right away, around 9:50, prior to the major crush of the crowds. She took us immediately to Napoleon’s apartments (which were stunning) because they get crowded quickly and continued on from there, going back in time to see older pieces and building up to the must-sees like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. There is so much to see so we kept our eyes peeled as we moved from room to room. Olesya checked with us about the pace, and her info was interesting. When I asked my daughter what she thought about the tour, she said she really liked it. She said she thought it was going to be boring and it wasn’t! And she gave Olesya 2 thumbs up! I wish I had booked Olesya for our tour of Versailles as well—she would have been wonderful. We may be traveling to Paris again next year, and if we do, I will definitely contact her for a tour.
This is the only way to have a great experience at the Louvre. My wife and I splurged on a private tour and it was absolutely worth it. Alesya provided an amazing experience. She helped us negotiate lines and spaces. Her tour was informative and fun, and covered history of the Louvre, and the most significant artifacts spanning the entire history of western art, from ancient Egypt to 19th century France. Alesya’s passion for art history is evident. The tour had a great balance of in-depth expertise and interesting cultural tidbits. Her English is great as well. Could not recommend Alesya more highly.
Olesya, was very knowledgeable She knows her art history and the Louvre. Note to future tour goers, be as clear with what you want to see and what you are not interested. Olesya and other guides need to know before purchasing your tickets. The tickets dictate where you are allowed to go in the museum.
Olesya led us through the Louvre like a well choreographed dance. She managed the crowd well, led us to the front of each piece, and educated us with a light yet passionate storytelling style. Highly recommend her and this tour!
Olesya was so personable and very knowledgeable! One of our favorite tour guides we have ever had! She’s amazing!!
