The Louvre with a Doctor in Art History - Private tour

This was our second tour with Hugo, and it was just as amazing as the first tour. Hugo is so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about art. He is easy going, easy to talk to, and happily answers all questions. As before, we loved the ear piece we wore to be able to hear him so clearly even when not walking right next to each other. This tour with Hugo will save you so much time seeing the things you want to see in the Louvre. Our hope is to come back and do a Versailles tour with him. Merci beaucoup, Hugo.

Hugo was as impressive as our visit to the Louvre! A week after our tour, I am remembering his exceptional guidance, great stories and details about the art, and how deeply he personally cares about the Louvre. We are so happy we booked our tour with him. Here's why... -The lines were long that day (even for the skip the line/timed tickets) and he was able to navigate our way into the museum without a wait. This made our visit efficient and saved precious vacation time. -Hugo studied at the Louvre. We felt like he was welcoming us to his home. As a doctor in art history, he was able to provide great insight into the history of the art, the artists, and why the "superstars" of the Louvre are masterpieces. I researched some of these works prior to the visit and Hugo's details and stories were detailed and entertaining. I will never look at Venus de Milo or Winged Victory the same! -Hugo takes personal pride in the Louvre and is very protective of the art. It added a great deal to our experience to be with someone who truly cares so much about this museum. -And finally, he started our tour in the lower part of the Louvre - an area I didn't know existed. On our own we would have missed this very interesting information of Paris' history. Hugo's tour of the Louvre stands out as one of my family's favorite memories of our visit to Paris. We are so appreciative!!

Top quality tour, Hugo met at the entrance and negotiated the lifts and access with our wheelchair. Brilliant commentary with enough information and interesting route through the Louvre. Fully recommended

Hugo gave us a great tour of the Louvre. He had intimate knowledge of the museum itself as well as the art. He managed to do some customization on the tour to included things my nephew was particularly interested in that might not have been on the highlights tour. Hugo was very personable and fun to spend some of our museum with.

This was our family's first time in Paris and our tour of the Louvre with Hugo C. was a an absolute highlight to an overall 5-star experience with the beautiful city. Hugo's extensive art history knowledge, expertise, and passion was truly inspiring. We could have spent the entire day listening to him. We had four adults and two teenagers on this tour and Hugo was universally loved and celebrated by us all for days after our experience. He is perfectly fluent in English and very easy to understand and the headset he provides leaves you free to walk around and enjoy everything while having a clear channel to his narration and a comfortable way to keep the group together. Hugo gracefully navigates the Louvre crowds which would have felt overwhelming without him. I can't say enough good things about this tour and highly recommend Hugo C. to anyone looking for a perfect Louvre experience.

Hugo was great, he shared his knowledge about the works of art while telling stories and sharing his humor as well. His knowledge of the Louve as a building was a tremendous benefit. Great tour and highly recommend
