Hello! I'm Marko - your go-to guy in Dubrovnik! If you want a true local of Dubrovnik, that's me - born and raised, grew up in the Old town and still living inside the walls. I've been a professional tour guide since 2007. I got my tour guiding license as a twenty-year-old college kid studying journalism. At the time, I was the youngest member of the Tour guides' association of Dubrovnik. Over the past fifteen years I've given more tours than I can remember, having led walking tours, half-day trips as well as shore excursions from cruise lines such as Viking Cruises and Celebrity. Why should you book this tour with me? Well, one reason is that you'll get to have a real local showing you around the city walls - I literally grew up inside the Old town and you'll be able to see my street where I still live when we climb up! Nothing beats the true local knowledge and passion for my hometown! Ask as many questions as you can think of - I'm here to provide all the answers from a local's perspective. Well, from what my previous guests often mentioned, I'd like to think that on my tour it shows that I really feel my hometown; not just in relating the complex history of Dubrovnik but also in addressing the contemporary, everyday issues of living in a unique city - a medieval town protected by UNESCO where a small, local community of roughly 1500 people still lives.
