Hello dear traveler, my name is Zdenko. I was born in unique city of Dubrovnik half a century ago and lived most of my life in this Paradise. I spent some years working on cruise ships at Florida and the Caribbean and in November of 1999 I came back home. Since then I have been working in tourism business here in "Jewel of the Adriatic", most of all as tourist guide and driver. My home town is a living monument, a mixture of breath taking nature, architecture, history and art. Living out of Dubrovnik for some years made me even more appreciate my home town if I ever had any doubts in my younger days. One of the reasons why I decided to become a professional tourist guide is meeting people from all over the world and presenting them the most amazing sights of this medieval city with it's beautiful surroundings. I still enjoy in stunning panoramic sights myself and it makes me really happy to share it with travelers from different parts of the world. Enjoy a Half Day trip from Dubrovnik to the East territory of Old Republic of Ragusa
Overview of your Dubrovnik tour
This tour will take us to the most southeastern part of Croatia today or Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) in the past. I created it for tourists staying in Dubrovnik for few days, those who already experienced Dubrovnik Old Town, or just want to escape from the crowded places and enjoy in peace of magnificent country side of Konavle. Konavle with Cavtat on west side of it and Sokol Castle on the east side are making beautiful mixture of historical and cultural heritage and pure nature of great value. Through the centuries, since Old Greeks, Romans, the Middle Ages, the times of Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) and up to our time, this part of region had important role in many wars and was the target for different intruders. Besides its rich history this beautiful area is giving us the opportunity to enjoy protected natural landscapes of the river Ljuta with its preserved watermills, steep Konavle rocks that rise above the crystal clear sea, Konavle field agriculture area and picturesque villages.
Your Dubrovnik tour itinerary
After we meet at the agreed spot we shall start with our tour and you will get to: -Srd hill to make one of the most beautiful view angles of Dubrovnik photo stop. -Take a drive through the picturesque Zupa Dubrovacka. -We will make a stop in Cavtat to take a walk on its cute, palm-lined promenade where you may have a coffee break on one of its cafes terraces by the see. -Drive further in to Konavle on it's south side above breathtaking steep slops of Konavle rocks. -We will cross to the north side of Konavle field to visit river Ljuta with its preserved watermills and traditional restaurants. -Next will be visit to the Sokol Castle a strategically important point of Old Republic. -On the way back we are going to take different road on Konavle hillside. -Short stop on Grey Falcon viewpoint overlooking most of Konavle, International Airport, Cavtat, Župa Dubrovačka and Dubrovnik in distance.
