Hello dear traveler, my name is Zdenko. I was born in unique city of Dubrovnik half a century ago and lived most of my life in this Paradise. I spent some years working on cruise ships at Florida and the Caribbean and in November of 1999 I came back home. Since then I have been working in tourism business here in "Jewel of the Adriatic", most of all as tourist guide and driver. My home town is a living monument, a mixture of breath taking nature, architecture, history and art. Living out of Dubrovnik for some years made me even more appreciate my home town if I ever had any doubts in my younger days. One of the reasons why I decided to become a professional tourist guide is meeting people from all over the world and presenting them the most amazing sights of this medieval city with it's beautiful surroundings. I still enjoy in stunning panoramic sights myself and it makes me really happy to share it with travelers from different parts of the world. I consider myself privileged to be born here and to be able to provide the visitors with the real feel of the destination. Overview of your Dubrovnik tour

This tour will take us to the most southeastern part of Croatia today or Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) in the past. I created it for tourists staying in Dubrovnik for few days, those who already experienced Dubrovnik Old Town, or just want to escape from the crowded places and enjoy in peace of magnificent country side of Konavle. Konavle with Cavtat on west side of it and Sokol Castle on the east side are making beautiful mixture of historical and cultural heritage and pure nature of great value. Through the centuries, since Old Greeks, Romans, the Middle Ages, the times of Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik) and up to our time, this part of region had important role in many wars and was the target for different intruders. Besides its rich history this beautiful area is giving us the opportunity to enjoy protected natural landscapes of the river Ljuta with its preserved watermills, steep Konavle rocks that rise above the crystal clear sea, Konavle field agriculture area and picturesque villages.

Zdenko should be your go-to tour guide in Dubrovnik. Starting from the back and forth we had via email, setting up all the details for our day-long tour, we knew we were in good hands. He was everything you'd want in a guide: quick to respond, patient, knowledgeable and of infinite good cheer. He gave us a fabulous look at everything on our itinerary, all the while filling us in on the history of the area and its people. In one of his emails just before our tour date, he said, "I hope to give you nothing but good memories from your visit." He accomplished that in spades!

Zdenko provided a great tour west of the Dubrovnik area stopping at great lookout points along the way, describing the local history, and sharing details of his experience during the homeland war. A special stop on the tour was an off the beaten path fortress - Sokol Grad that was very well restored. Our tour concluded with a very calm and relaxing stop for exploration and refreshments in Cavtat. After returning us to our lodging, my son forgot his water flask in his vehicle and Zdenko went out of his way to return it to us.

I cannot say enough good things about Zdenko and the wonderful tour he took us on today! He was such a wonderful guide; he explained much about the area, culture and history and his English is wonderful. He was courteous and kind in helping us in & out of the vehicle. He was flexible with where we wanted to go and how much time to spend etc. He was overall just really fun to be with and made our day really remarkable. We would definitely recommend him without question! 5 stars!! ��������

Your Dubrovnik tour itinerary

After we meet at the agreed spot we shall start with our tour and you will get to: -Srd hill to make one of the most beautiful view angles of Dubrovnik photo stop. -Take a drive through the picturesque Zupa Dubrovacka. -We will make a stop in Cavtat to take a walk on its cute, palm-lined promenade where you may have a coffee break on one of its cafes terraces by the see. -Drive further in to Konavle on it's south side above breathtaking steep slops of Konavle rocks. -We will cross to the north side of Konavle field to visit river Ljuta with its preserved watermills and traditional restaurants. -Next will be visit to the Sokol Castle a strategically important point of Old Republic. -On the way back we are going to take different road on Konavle hillside. -Short stop on Grey Falcon viewpoint overlooking most of Konavle, International Airport, Cavtat, Župa Dubrovačka and Dubrovnik in distance.
