Hello! I'm Marko - your go-to guy in Dubrovnik! If you want a true local of Dubrovnik, that's me - born and raised, grew up in the Old town and still living inside the walls. I've been a professional tour guide since 2007. I got my tour guiding license as a twenty-year-old college kid studying journalism. At the time, I was the youngest member of the Tour guides' association of Dubrovnik. Over the past fifteen years I've given more tours than I can remember, having led walking tours, half-day trips as well as shore excursions from cruise lines such as Viking Cruises and Celebrity. If you want an insider who really knows Dubrovnik, feel free to reach out to me! I will show you the main sights, tell you about the history and most importantly, try to make you feel like a local by showing you places where I'd go myself. . . Check out the tours I offer and remember, all those can be fully customized according to your own preferences and whatever things you're interested in and passionate about! See you in Dubrovnik! Official tour guiding licence issued by the Croatian Ministry of tourism. None whatsoever.

Explore the hidden parts of the city walls of Dubrovnik on this private tour of the western bulwark, the fort Minčeta, and the 16th-century gun foundry. I will tell you how the cannons were made, roam the underground tunnels, and admire the city walls of Dubrovnik from a totally different perspective. This tour is for the discerning traveler wishing to experience more than the usual touristy things. As experienced guide and journalist, I have what it takes to bring these alive before you. We'll talk about medieval warfare, attacks and sieges and how Dubrovnik managed to survive as a tiny city-state surrounded by powerful enemies. You'll walk along the newly opened western ramparts and hear stories about the golden age of Dubrovnik in the 16th century as well as the more recent history.
This is a suggested itinerary but know that I can amend it, to fit your wishes - ask for a customized tour! * Meet at the agreed-upon meeting point and walk along Peline street, underneath the norhern walls * Enter the famous Minčeta tower and roam its corridors where once upon a time there were cannons * Proceed down the western bulwark into the medieval foundry where cannons were cast * Stop above Pile gate, above the crowds, away from all others and enjoy stunning views * Continue towards Bokar fort from the 15th century and explore its mysterious passages * Discover the archaeological site of St. Andrew's dating back to the period before the 1667 earthquake
