Hi or as locals say: Adio! Dobrodošli or Welcome to Dubrovnik region! My name is Goran. Born and raised in Croatia, I do live in the Dubrovnik region, and I love it! I have been working in tourism/sales-related services for nearly 20 years, as well as a guide and a tour leader. For a couple of years, I have worked for a big cruise line company in the hotel department. After I settled back here in Dubrovnik, I started to work as a trip leader, cruise manager and as a local guide on my own as well, cooperating with different tour operators and agencies. Being able to travel and being thankful for that, I was able to explore, "taste", feel and discover many different places nearby and around the world. Furthermore, I studied at the university here in Dubrovnik and obtained a degree in tourism/management back in 2004. My goal is to provide you with an experience, not just a product of the destination, in a professional, educational, interesting and always friendly and casual way. I am aware that every person, together with every experience of any kind, is always a new one and different. To all my fellow travellers, I want to allow you to experience real places and local people. There is no better way to have a great, authentic and inspirational travel experience than to see, touch, hear, taste and feel the places you are visiting. Regardless of the offered tour experiences, feel free to let me know if you would like to do something additional or different. With knowledge and experience, I could customise a daily trip or a few days of tour experience just for you! If you would like to spend some time together, please feel free to contact me. One of the nicest compliments that I recall from one of the guests is that having a tour experience with me was like being with an old friend. Thanks, Mark! Step into an unforgettable journey through Croatia’s southernmost county as we travel across the wide Konavle valley. This beautiful region is known for its vineyards, olive groves, traditional silk production, and rich folkloric heritage, all set within stunning landscapes and preserved nature. Along the way, enjoy a scenic drive along the Adriatic coast. Discover charming villages, traditional smokehouses, and historic watermills that reflect centuries of local life. Learn about enduring customs, local crafts, and authentic gastronomy while experiencing the peaceful countryside. We will also enjoy a short walk through a forest beside a clear, flowing river. On our return toward Dubrovnik, we will take a relaxed stroll through the picturesque seaside town of Cavtat before finishing the tour with breathtaking panoramic views above Dubrovnik Old Town. Join us and experience Dubrovnik’s southern county through local stories, traditions, and beautiful scenery.
We will drive southeast above Dubrovnik, overlooking the Old Town, with a short stop for a memorable photo. Continuing along the Adriatic coast, we pass local villages that were heavily damaged during the war in the 1990s but have since been carefully rebuilt and brought back to life. Along the way, we share stories about the region’s history, its people, and long-standing local traditions. Driving through the lower valley, you will notice traditional stone houses with distinctive chimneys once used as smokehouses. From here, we enjoy beautiful views across the wide Konavle valley. Our journey continues through the valley to a nearby village where clear river streams and historic watermills reflect the area’s rural heritage. We will later take a relaxed stroll through the charming seaside town of Cavtat and pause for local refreshments. The tour can be customised if you have different interests or preferences.
