Hello my dear guests, my name is Maja and I was born in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Almost my entire professional life has been oriented on tourism industry; this would be my 20th anniversary of working in this field. After finishing the 4 - year programme of Tourism and Hospitality school in Dubrovnik, I graduated in Tourism management at the University of Dubrovnik and I own a Master degree in Business and Economy. I am also licensed local tour guide for Lokrum island for blind and visually impaired persons. Why this "job"? Do you know any other "job" where you can meet different people every day, have fun, drink good wine and be paid for all of that? Yep :), that's it ! Beside guiding, I work as body oriented psychotherapist, read good books, adore swimming in crystal clear Adriatic sea, hike. Let me show you the best of my home town Dubrovnik, its secrets and hidden streets where I spent my childhood, walked with my parents, where I learnt swimming. Yes, I can show you all of that! Also you will be able to see how we locals live, what we like and how we spend our free time. Of course, where we drink our coffee in lazy afternoons and wine in hot, summer nights. If you would like to have a private tour created especially for you, contact me to find out why Dubrovnik is such an attractive place for visitors from all around the world and why we locals are so passionate about our town. I will do my best to organize an unforgettable tour for you. I am staying at your disposal for all the questions that you might have. See you on my tour. Hello dear Traveler, While you are in Dubrovnik, don't miss to visit the amazing one mile long City Walls! The Walls of Dubrovnik, series of defensive stone walls surrounding the City. In 1979 the Old City of Dubrovnik, which includes a substantial portion of the old Walls of Dubrovnik, joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Why you need to visit Walls? I am local, born in Dubrovnik & The Walls are my favorite place that I always admire and fill me with positive energy. I stopped counting how many times I have visited the Walls. Every time I get there I feel like it's my first visit. And I will go again and again. Maybe tomorrow, who knows :), this is good workout as well. Such a lovely way to spend a few hours in Dubrovnik. On this tour, we will do the long route together. It is a worth visit to get the whole city perspective (we can take a break after the seaside part (i. e. at half-way). After the Walls, we will do the other part of the tour and explore the Old Town with its sights.
This tour is divided into two parts: - The Dubrovnik City Walls ( we start from Pile or Ploce Gate), we will have photo stops three or four or more :), stops for restroom or quick beer or coffee. For this adventure, we will need approx 1 hour and 15 minutes. - Then we start with the Old Town walking tour. We will take a stroll starting with the main street Stradun, stopping in front of: - Franciscan Monastery, - Big Onofrio Fountain, - St Claire Monastery, - Cathedral, - Open-air market, - Dominican monastery. - Upon your wish, we will enter into these sights. Nothing is fixed, let me feel you and show you the best of my hometown. I always suggest doing the Walls first and then the Old Town Walking tour. It depends on your preferences. Prepare your good sport shoes and a bottle of water and we can start. If you have other wishes on your bucket list, I will do a customized tour to fit them here.
