No, it doesn't get any more south than this, unless you have your passport ready and wish to swim! Let's explore the very south of Croatia's mainland and take an epic selfie on its southernmost tip, roam around the stunning Konavle region and feel the ghosts of the area's recent military past.
Overview of your Dubrovnik tour
This tour takes us to the southernmost part of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, the Prevlaka peninsula, overlooking the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. It will be only us and the goats roaming the abandoned military base facilities before we reach the very tip of southern Croatian mainland, Cape Ostro. Being a military enthusiast is not a prerequisite to enjoy this tour - nature and the sea views are just as interesting! We continue our adventure by driving deeper into the Konavle Plain and make a stop at Konaovski Dvori, a recommended lunch stop, where we will experience a change of scenery and enjoy the fresh air and lush greenery on the cascades of the mountain river Ljuta. Our next stop is a medieval fortress of Sokolgrad in the village of Dunave, standing proudly on a 25-meter-high rock, guarding the area for over 600 years. We finish off our day by visiting a one-of-a-kind swimming spot, a spectacular Pasjaca beach, a place where walking to the beach is just as thrilling an experience as the beach itself.
