Welcome to Stockholm, my city!
I was born in Västerås, 94 km from Stockholm. I came to the capital for the first time when I was five years old and remember the day like it was yesterday. Instant love.

After finishing school, I went abroad to work as a tour guide. For 25 years, I traveled around Europe and Asia. When I was 49, I moved to Stockholm.

It is its proximity to water that makes me love Stockholm. On one side of the city lies Mälaren, Sweden's third largest freshwater lake. On the other side lies the Baltic Sea with its brackish seawater.

Stockholm is built on 14 islands that are connected by 57 bridges. Each of these islands has its own atmosphere and unique style and manners.

Stockholm is a city open to different perspectives and new ideas. A vibrant destination where innovations in music, design, fashion and technology mix well with museums, monuments, statues, green parks and the islands of the archipelago. Fresh air is abundant.

In my spare time, I like to travel, preferably with my friends, but sometimes it's nice to travel alone too. I like to read, explore new museums and try new restaurants. Eating with others is a moment of conviviality, of sharing: a ritual where an exchange of tastes, aromas and interests takes place.

Another thing I love about Stockholm is that it is so easy to get around. One can walk, take a bus or a boat.

I like to share my experiences and I'm flexible. I think it would be great to help you organize your trip according to your interests and wishes.

I also have a license to conduct tours in Uppsala and I'm a professional tree hugger (Shinrin Yoku - Forest bathing).

I have a driving license, but I am not a driver.
I can arrange a hired vehicle with professional english speaking drivers where needed.

After our garden tour, we’ll board a private bus to Djurgården, known for its lush landscapes and cultural attractions. The bus ride allows us to relax and enjoy the scenic transition from Södermalm to Djurgården’s verdant tranquility.

At Skansen, Djurgården, you’ll have free time for lunch. Rejuvenated, we’ll regroup for a guided visit tour to at Skansen, the world’s oldest open-air museum. Together we explore historic buildings, traditional crafts, and Swedish heritage, all beautifully set in a scenic park with views over Stockholm.

100 years ago, Södermalm was a poor district with cramped residential buildings for workers. Today, Södermalm is a trendy area with restaurants and shops.

I'll show you lush environments and charming houses from the 1750s. I'll tell about the people who lived here and about their everyday life in both joy and sorrow.

A footbridge leads over to the small islet of Riddarholmen, important and impressive buildings are to be found. The oldest church; Riddarholmskyrkan is also here. 

On the next island is Gamla Stan, one of the best preserved medieval cities. We'll wander along the narrow cobbled streets with buildings painted in gold. I also want to show you some of Stockholm's most beautiful doors, and the Great Church as well as the royal palace.
