I worked as a tourist information officer for the City of Stockholm for many years and today I am a licensed tour guide. Stockholm offers a lot of culture, nature, shopping, great museums, theater, design, history, a beautiful archipelago and the Old Town. I enjoy visiting these attractions and I would like to invite you to join me to discover them during your visit to Stockholm. My free time I like to spend with my daughter, family and friends visiting the archipelago, relaxing and maybe picking some berries and mushrooms. I love downhill skiing, I was brought up in Finland next to a ski hill. I also enjoy reading history books, cooking, visiting exhibitions and flea markets. I am positive and friendly. I enjoy meeting new people and do everything I can to help guests to make the most of their visit in Stockholm. Overview of your Stockholm tour
Your private guided tour to the wonderful royal palace of Drottningholm, the home of our King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. The rooms in the southern wing are private and the rest of the palace and grounds are open to the public year round. It is the most well-preserved royal palace built in the 1600s in Sweden. We will start from Stockholm City with a scenic boat ride on the lake Mälaren, passing some of the residential areas where many homes are located next to the waterfront. After visiting the palace we will then take a stroll in the palace park to look at the three different types of gardens: the Baroque, the English and the "natural" park. Many locals like to visit the beautiful park areas for picnics or to walk their dogs.

The boat trip to Drottingham was a perfect half day tour out of Stockholm. Beautiful palace and exquisite grounds. Mecki’s highly knowledgeable commentary both at the palace and along the way and her lovely low-key personality were the perfect secret sauce to an excellent tour that I would highly recommend to anyone who is ready for a time-out from the usual Stockholm tourist spots.
