Hej! Hi! Most welcome to Stockholm and Sweden! My name is Anette and I would love to show you the beautiful city of Stockholm and the interesting surroundings. I was born in the city and I lived here all my life. I would like to share my city with you, and tell you all the great stories and the history of Stockholm. Take a look at my tours to get an idea of what you want to see and do. We can easily change according to your wishes. There are so many things to experience in Stockholm. We can do city walks, go to museums, or visit palaces in and around Stockholm. The archipelago with all islands is very special, or maybe a walk in the smallest national park just 40 min drive from Stockholm? It will all be unforgettable in different ways. During the tour I will have the opportunity to tell you about daily life in Stockholm and about Swedish traditions. You can pick one of my published tours, or tell me what you want to experience and I will arrange for it. I always start my tours with a short introduction to the Swedish history. Some more about me, history and travelling has always been my interests and passions. My career started within international telecoms, I traveled in my job but also for vacation. With two grown up sons, I went back to university and studied to become a teacher in history and business economics. I have been a teacher at a high-school for many years. Now I spend more of my time guiding and I do love it! Overview of your Stockholm tour
Go back in time walk throw the narrow streets of the Old Town and view a warship from 1628. I've been exploring these streets since I was a little girl and would love to bring you to my favorite streets. I have lots of memories of listening to my grandmother as she told stories about times gone by. Later in life I learned the history of the old medieval part of Stockholm. We will, during our walk, visit the old market square, walk by the Royal Palace next to the cathedral and the parliament. We will also visit the more modern parts with the Dramatical theater and the Royal garden. I will tell you about people who lived in Stockholm, from the vikings that sailed past the islands of Stockholm to the busy city of today. Following a short ferry ride we will continue to the Vasa museum, a ship from 1628 (98% original). I will tell you the story from capsizing on the maiden voyage until it ended up in the Vasa museum of today. If you wish for coffee and cakes, I will bring you to one of my favorite places

During our walk in Stockholm you will experience following places, The island of Riddarholmen: - View over the water the City Hall and lake Mälaren - View over the water the trendy south island - The church of Nobility - Palaces from 17th and 18th century Old town: - Royal Palace & Court Yard - Cathedral - Great Square (Stortorgeet) - Building that host the Swedish academi and the Nobel museum - Telephone hut (Ericsson) - Runestone - Mårten Trotzig street -Short ferry ride to the island of Djurgården where we have the Vasa ship - Visit the Vasa museum, the most visited museum in the Nordic countries. The Vasa ship is a time machine bringing us back to 1628. In the end of the tour we will discuss the lists I sent you about top attractions/restaurants/bars/coffee and lunch places.
