Hej! Hi! Most welcome to Stockholm and Sweden! My name is Anette and I would love to show you the beautiful city of Stockholm and the interesting surroundings. I was born in the city and I lived here all my life. I would like to share my city with you, and tell you all the great stories and the history of Stockholm. Some more about me, history and travelling has always been my interests and passions. My career started within international telecoms, I traveled in my job but also for vacation. With two grown up sons, I went back to university and studied to become a teacher in history and business economics. I have been a teacher at a high-school for many years. Now I spend more of my time guiding and I do love it! Walk with me to see the highlights of central Stockholm and Old Town! Since I was a small girl I walked here and listened to my granny about historical ghosts and murders. Later in life I learned the history of the old medieval part of Stockholm. It is one of the biggest and most well preserved in Europe. We will move back in time! In the Old town I will bring you to my favorite narrow streets. We will visit the old market square, walk by the Royal Palace next to the cathedral and pass the parliament. We will also visit the more modern parts with the dramatical theater and the royal garden. I will tell you about people who lived in Stockholm, from the vikings that sailed past the islands of Stockholm to the busy city of today. If you want to hear dreadful stories about the Stockholms' past with bloodbaths and the darkness you will get that too. If you get tired and wish for coffee and cakes, a Swedish "fika" I will bring you to one of all the good places.
Anette did a wonderful job walking us through Swedish history, starting out with a brief timeline of the various monarchs for context. As a teacher herself, she had a great delivery, quick responses to questions, and a friendly and welcoming manner. Strongly recommend her.

Anette was an amazing guide! She arrived promptly and then spent some time with us in our hotel, telling us about the history. She brought photos and printed material that enhanced our learning.
