Be it Nobel with its splendour, the Old Town with its medieval grace, Skansen with its diversity or Vasa with its authenticity, it would be my pleasure to be your guide along the way. My goal is to inform, entertain and above all impress so you leave beautiful Stockholm with a yearning to return and do it all over again! I’m a well travelled Swedish Canadian who has called Stockholm home for the last 30 years. My diploma from my Licensed Stockholm Guide accreditation proudly hangs beside my Bachelor of Commerce and Masters in Business Administration degrees. Experienced guide, working for many years with one of Sweden’s largest global industrial companies. Now combining my love of Stockholm with my love for guiding.. English is my mother tongue. Swedish is a close second. Spanish in third place. I understand both French and German well but the conversation level is rather rusty.. When not guiding guests around our beautiful city, I can be found on Söder with Alfred, my golden retriever, in Gamla Stan dancing Flamenco , improving my Bridge or visiting one of Stockholm’s 100 plus museums.. Overview of your Stockholm tour
Let us discover together this charming city with a combination of museum tours and scenic drives. All in the comfort of a business class car with private driver. Today's goal is to see and experience as much as possible of one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world. This includes the Big Four (City Hall, Old Town, Royal Palace, Vasa Museum), my favourite city sites which together provide a comprehensive knowledge of this northern beauty. We may even squeeze in a light lunch or fika at the market or a favourite restaurant. Travelling by car we can extend our tour geographically providing even more insight into the life and culture of Stockholm, Sweden and the Swedish people! Just sit back and enjoy the ride!
Your Stockholm tour itinerary
This tour includes all entrance fees and transportation. Let us begin with a Photo Op extraordinaire! First stop will be on a cliff with an incredible view of 8 of the city's 14 islands - basically a city map IRL ! A scenic drive through a number of these islands leads us to a tour of the City Hall ,home to the Nobel Banquet attended by the world's probably most curious, intelligent and dedicated dinner guests! We continue to the Old Town and a jaunt ( by foot) over the cobblestone streets where we will learn of the happenings of the last 1000 years . A tour of the Royal Palace is next on the agenda along with an SRHRT ( Swedish Royal History Run Through). More scenic sights on the way to the Vasa Museum . This warship sank to the bottom of the harbour 15 minutes into its maiden voyage - Oddly , lucky for us! Our visit comes to a close and you will be dropped off as agreed beforehand, hopefully now possessing a better understanding of Stockholm , its history and its people!
