I excel in delivering top-tier guest service and delivering unforgettable experiences in the Douro Valley and Porto. My background includes a rich history in tourism, starting on a luxury cruise line where I sailed worldwide. I later transitioned to Michelin Star Restaurants at the Yeatman Hotel and Casa da Cha restaurant, working with guests from diverse backgrounds, showcasing the best of the north and our award winning gastronomy and hospitality! Naturally inclined towards sharing my passion, I became a tour guide. This allows me to blend my expertise in food and wine, local culture, and travel to create authentic and personalized private experiences for travelers. Igor is a wonderful tour guide. He is not only knowledgeable but he also a sommelier. So if you are a foodie, a wine connoisseur or a history buff, Igor is the only choice. Wait, did i mention he also worked in the service industry for over 20 years. He treats guests like family and the tour company he works for is run by a Canadian so you can understand the friendliness...

The guide we originally booked was unable to do the tour and recommended switching the booking to Igor - which worked out great since Igor was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about not only this region of Portugal but his own travel experiences help provide a great perspective. He was very responsive to our needs while walking through the city and took us to a restaurant...

Mauricio was wonderful in his knowledge and fabulous personality taking us around Porto. He was so willing to do whatever we needed and wanted to do. He had a lovely upbeat personality and was so much fun to be with. He knew so much history of Porto, it was fascinating to listen to him talk. I would highly recommend him for a day tour around Porto!!
