If Polish seems like the Mandarin of Europe to you do not worry, I am fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese so you will learn all about the Royal City of Krakow in a language most familiar to you. I was born in this beautiful city almost 30 years ago. Growing up surrounded by sites of many important historical events has left me with deep appreciation for Krakow's beauty and its importance on the national and international level. Learn the history of this historical capital of the Republic of Poland as well as the history of the country itself. Retrace the steps of Oscar Schindler (did he compile the famous Schindler's list?) and find out what the lives of Polish and Jewish people looked like during the Second World War. Get to know why Krakow survived both of the World Wars and why is it one of the better preserved cities of WWII. A trip to the 'young country of Poland' is sure to surprise you. Find out why I refer to it as a 'young country' even though you will see a plethora of centuries old, historical sites all around you. No matter how much time you will have in the Royal City of Krakow it may always prove too little. Zee did a fantastic job! He picked us up promptly at our hotel and drove us to Auschwitz-Birkenau. The drive was comfortable and relaxing. He let us know exactly what to expect when we arrived to the camp and even stopped for a restroom break just before our final stop.
