My name is Maria Rosaria and I was born in Terracina a charming town in between the Rome of the Popes and the Reign of Naples. I have loved Rome since I was a child and dreamed of moving there one day!

To this day, I still remember when my mother and I came to Rome for the Jubilee of 1975. I still recall my excitement to be in front of the basilica of St. Peter for the first time. Any time I take visitors there, I relive it and share those emotions with them!
When I was in school I studied Latin, Greek and Art history. My Art history teacher was so passionate that he passed all his love for art along to me and this led me to become a professional tour guide.

Capitoline Hill with Museums, Trajan's Column, Imperial Fora and Roman Forum with privileged entrance

In the middle of the public gardens of Villa Borghese is one of the most renowned art museums in the world, the Borghese Gallery.
An important part of the collection was begun by the wealthy Cardinal Scipione (nephew of Pope Paul V) at the beginning of XVII century, he was an avid art collector of Caravaggio's works, and Bernini's first sponsor.
The Gallery is particularly rich in ancient Roman, Renaissance, and Baroque art and has the greatest collection of works by Bernini, each of one is a masterpiece like Pluto and Proserpina or Apollo and Daphne.

The Borghese Gallery is the perfect place for art lovers to admire art in a beautiful space without big crowds in Rome.
