Hello dear guests! My name is Marijana, your private tourist guide in Dubrovnik. I was born in Dubrovnik in 1984, studied Aquaculture at the University of Dubrovnik and graduated in 2007. From the same University in 2014, I obtained a licence to become a tourist guide - one of the best decisions of my life! In these few years I've been a guide, I have had the pleasure to meet hundreds of people from all over the world by working for a number of tourist agencies. I find this job to be dynamic, interesting, responsible and above all fun - it is hard to even think of it as a job. It is an opportunity for me to teach my guests about our culture, history, traditions and everyday life. By choosing a private tour you get the chance to see Dubrovnik and the area around it through the eyes of a local and I have the chance to see it through yours and fall in love with it every day all over again. Believe me, Dubrovnik really has a way of making you fall in love with it! Are you interested in sightseeing, culture, history, traditions, cuisine. . . ? If so, you can choose one of my tours listed below or simply contact me and together we will tailor something that suits your needs, interests and time you have here. It would be my pleasure to be your guide! I look forward to meeting you - see you in Dubrovnik, Marijana Licensed tourist guide for Dubrovnik region since 2014 Member of Dubrovnik Tourist Guide Association B.A.degree in Aquaculture at the University of Dubrovnik For those of you coming via cruise ship, I will be waiting for you in front of the border crossing (not far from the ship;the one next to the main bus station) as only big tourist agencies are granted entrance to the harbour

We had a wonderful day with Marijana touring on our way to Split. Along the way we had a great time exploring the ancient town of Ston. It had a warm, peaceful everyday life feeling -- not a tourist gathering. Marijana gave us the history of this town -- how they built walls but most importantly the long winding steps up the mountain leading to the defensive towers. This...

Our guide, Marijana, was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we met her, we felt like we were spending the day with a good friend who just happened to be an incredibly knowledgeable historian. She is warm, engaging, funny, and remarkably intelligent. Marijana brought Dubrovnik to life through her storytelling. She shared not only the fascinating history of the city,...

Drove to the top of the hill/ top of the cable car for a fabulous overall view of Dubrovnik. She then took us to a beautiful, park-like wooded area where we were greeted by hosts in local dress of years past, treated to fascinating demonstrations of two historic mills. These were powered solely by running river water  -- one that ground corn into meal and another, still...
