The tour was very informative - we enjoyed it and we learned a lot. We cut it short a bit but that was our preference as we were all jet lagged, but Patrizia was very accommodating and lovely.

I still remember the first time I saw ancient statues, I was in the Vatican Museum and I was a child. Those marble giants were not just silent witness of their time but it seemed like I could hear their voices talking to me from the past. Was it that a decisive moment in my life? Probably it was! I graduated in Art History at Rome University and while waiting to find a "real" job I started to work as a guide and, little by little, it became my job! I've been a tourist guide since then which means …. a bit! I enjoy what I do and statues haven't stop whispering their stories to me, that, together with studies and experience, enables me to explain to you things about Rome and its history in a way you could not imagine. If we'll meet in Roma I'm ready to show you my Roma and share my knowledge with you! From the Vatican, to the Colosseum, passing through the Borghese Gallery, Caravaggio, Trastevere, Jewish Ghetto and amazing Italian food and wine, I am at your service and I love answering my guests questions and I can customize my tours for your needs. You're in good hands with me, and I look forward to meeting you! Are you ready to follow me? Ciao a tutti! Hi everybody! One of the most peculiar aspect of Roman civilization is the care for what nowadays its call infrastructures and services. Romans roads pride of Romans engineers would link the capital to the entire empire up to its most remote borders. In this tour we will walk on the part of Via Appia that leads towards the outskirts of town following the ancient path. Another Roman civilization's visible sign are the Aqueducts that guaranteed the town's water supplies. Their impressive skeletons characterize the landscape around town. Next, we will explore the catacombs in their evocative twilight. Rome's ground is made of tender volcanic rock that allowed to dig tunnels and subterranean. Therefore, it is still possible to go underground and visit the old cemeteries so widespread and deep to arouse continuous marvel. I can guide you on this double sided tour: mysterious in the underground as well as sunny in the outdoor walk. Follow me will be an unforgettable experience!

Patrizia was an amazing guide. We also took her Vatican tour and both were fantastic. We had our teenage children with us and Patrizia was great at keeping them engaged which can be challenging at their age. She was a wealth of knowledge, very personable, and well prepared. We would highly recommend Patrizia and her tour. We had a great day in the countryside which was a nice balance to the busy city center. The catacombs were fascinating as were the aqueducts. Thank you Patrizia!
Great tour to get out of the city and see some unusual locations. Although these might be viewed as minor attractions, they are what made Rome work. Shows how the population received water. Explains the road structure and how people and goods travelled in and out of the city. Finally, showed what happened to the dead.
Had a great tour with Patrizia! She is knowledgeable and fun! I highly recommend her!
