One of the new 7 wonders of the new world, along with the Chinese wall, the Taj Mahal and others, the majesty of Chichén Itza involves the city that has a giant solar clock. Here, we will find the mixture of 2 cultures the Mayan and Toltec. We'll find a pyramidal basement of 35 meters where the equinoxes will show us the ARCHAEASTRONOMICAL wisdom that pre-Hispanic cultures had without a telescope, as well as the largest ball game field and descriptions in rock engravings of decapitations. . . we do not know if these were of the winners or the losers. Inside of the site we'll see the handcraft makers with the best prices that you can found all over the region please do not bargain with them the money that you pay goes directly to the families. Coming to Chichen- Itza is a great experience were you'll enjoy the history behind it and where we will also learn about the cenote sacrifices, you can be a volunteer if you want! Overall I guarantee it will be an unforgetable experience for you and family.
Benjamin was a great tour guide and host. We had a fantastic day with him and Alexa our driver. He was very knowledgable about the Mayan culture. We arrived early before the crowds and before the heat of the day. The timing was fantastic. We had a lovely van that seated all six of us in wonderful air conditioning. We had a great swim at the Cenote with a very authentic Mexican lunch in the afternoon Thank you Benjamin for a fantastic day
We had a wonderful day with Benjamin, visiting Chichen-Itzá and a cenote. He is friendly, personable, and very knowledgeable about the Mayan history and other aspects of local culture. We went out early and avoided most of the crowds, which was great. He seems very flexible, but his suggestions were all very good. You can definitely book with confidence. Benjamin will show you a good time!
What a great experience. Ben is the best! He is on time and has excellent transportation. He really knows the entire region and how to make the day fun and unique. He is a walking encyclopedia and knows how to make the day fun for the adults and teenagers. Could not recommend more. If we had more time we would go sea kayak with him.
Benjamin delivered on everything he promissed. We had private tour for six adults. He picked us up at 7 am and dropped us back to our hotel in Playa del Carmen around 8 pm. Everything was included in our negotiated price: Transportation to & from Chichen-Itza, cenote, lunch & Valadoid city. He was charming and provided information on our way there. Was a perfect day.
Benjamin is very communicative via the app and WhatsApp before we met him which made us feel very comfortable with an understanding to meet at the specified time. He was on time and we felt very safe with him. His knowledge of the history on our adventure was very insightful and a great conversationalist if you choose to. He is very aware of how to delve further into a conversation and when we had enough. He checked in with us to see how we were doing and gave us some privacy to venture out. He drove safely all say! He took us to a local amazing lunch spot. Our family really enjoyed spending the day together!
Spending the day with Benjamin was the most fun, interesting and educational time on our entire trip! Everyone enjoyed it because he made sure that everyone was included. His knowledge of the Mayan culture combined with what he knows about current day Yucatan peninsula is fabulous. Where he took us for lunch was off the beaten path and the most delicious food of our entire trip! On top of all that, Benjamin is genuinely a nice guy and someone you enjoy being around. I highly recommend both the all day Chichen-Itza tour and Benjamin as your guide!
