Overview of your Montevideo tour
A hidden gem of our city lies only 20-25 minutes from Montevideo's port. At Santa Lucía Wetlands (National Protected Area since 2015), we will be able to enjoy the wilderness and the beauty of many creeks feeding the Santa Lucía River that further ends at the Río de la Plata. There is a wooden deck of 0. 3 miles each way taking us above the creeks and we will be able to enjoy the magic of nature, just a few minutes away from the city. It is a perfect place for birdwatching, all year round residents are different kinds of herons, hawks, teros (national bird), while in spring and summer, we can see hummingbirds. It is also a perfect place for plant lovers. I will bring binoculars as well as birdwatching books. As you can imagine, I am so passionate about animals and plants! After enjoying the landscapes, we will drive up to the Hill of Montevideo on our way back to the city to enjoy a last panoramic view from our highest point. All the tour will be in an Electric SUV, leaving 0 carbon footprint!
