Being part of a family of European immigrants and periodically exposed to different languages my entire life, this always proved to be second nature to me. In addition, I studied English for over a decade in one of the top schools in the country and to this day continue to use it on a daily basis. Thanks to this, I was able to obtain The University of Michigan's Certificate of Proficiency in English. As part of my Tourism education, I attended the United Nation's World Tourism Organization's First Seminar on the International Code for the Protection of Tourists and hold a Touristic Management certificate emitted by the Ministry of Commerce of China. I am proud to say I now have a decade of experience working in Tourism, during which I've had the privilege to provide services for worldwide organizations such as UNESCO, the UN Environment Programme, the Organization of American States & the Inter-Parliamentary Union. I've also provided tours to politicians such as South Carolina's Senate Minority Lead Brad Hutto and the Minister of Natural Resources of Guyana Vickram Bharrat. On a more personal note, being born and raised in Uruguay (the only place I ever lived in) I am wholeheartedly acquainted with its ins & outs, and feel genuine enthusiasm every time I get the opportunity to share these gems hiding in plain sight with others. I fully believe every person is unique and experiences this country in a different way, but my job is to guarantee this experience is remarkable for everyone. For example, how about seeing the sea from all 4 cardinal points while remaining in the middle of a street intersection? Punta del Este also witnessed one of the decisive combats of World War 2, when the British "Force G"- constituted by the Exeter, the Ajax and the Achiles victoriously battled the infamous german cruiser Graf Spee, which sank in Montevideo. Get to touch the retrieved anchor from the Ajax ship with your own hands. Meet a nationally protected species of sea lion, with one of the world's biggest colony of them at plain sight from the bay. Visit the breathtaking home of the father of one of the survivors of the Andes tragedy, who's one of the most prestigious artists of the region. Take a picture with the famous hand in the sand! Also, let me tell you about my great grandfather Cesar Fournier, a french marine immigrant who protected this bay.

Wonderful day. Gonza is an energetic, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly guide with excellent English. He and his trusted driver Juan provided us with a full day of fun and information touring the scenic southeast corner of Uruguay. Adjusting the schedule to allow time for a quick swim at a beautiful and secluded beach was no problem. You won't find a better option for a private tour to Punta del Este.

Gonzalo arranged our transportation from Colonia to Montevideo the first day in addition to escorting us on a memorable afternoon and evening around Montevideo.
