I'm a University Gruaduate Tour Guide as well as National & Regional Tourism Technician fully Pfizer vaccinated against Covid-19. Ever since I was a child I always found myself continuously captivated by foreigners, be it by their languages or their cultures. Being part of a family of European immigrants and periodically exposed to different languages my entire life, this always proved to be second nature to me. In addition, I studied English for over a decade in one of the top schools in the country and to this day continue to use it on a daily basis. Thanks to this, I was able to obtain The University of Michigan's Certificate of Proficiency in English. As part of my Tourism education, I attended the United Nation's World Tourism Organization's First Seminar on the International Code for the Protection of Tourists and hold a Touristic Management certificate emitted by the Ministry of Commerce of China. I am proud to say I now have a decade of experience working in Tourism, during which I've had the privilege to provide services for worldwide organizations such as UNESCO, the UN Environment Programme, the Organization of American States & the Inter-Parliamentary Union. I've also provided tours to politicians such as South Carolina's Senate Minority Lead Brad Hutto and the Minister of Natural Resources of Guyana Vickram Bharrat. On a more personal note, being born and raised in Uruguay (the only place I ever lived in) I am wholeheartedly acquainted with its ins & outs, and feel genuine enthusiasm every time I get the opportunity to share these gems hiding in plain sight with others. I fully believe every person is unique and experiences this country in a different way, but my job is to guarantee this experience is remarkable for everyone. Even though there is a certain structure in the private tours I offer, these are always flexible to a degree, and able to be customized as to fulfill your unique expectations. I sincerely hope we can get to know each other and go around my beautiful country together!

Montevideo has a lot to offer, but it could occur to you that it maybe wouldn't fit exactly what you're seeking as perhaps this other destination does. For example, how about seeing the sea from all 4 cardinal points while remaining in the middle of a street intersection? Punta del Este also witnessed one of the decisive combats of World War 2, when the British "Force G"- constituted by the Exeter, the Ajax and the Achiles victoriously battled the infamous german cruiser Graf Spee, which sank in Montevideo. Get to touch the retrieved anchor from the Ajax ship with your own hands. Meet a nationally protected species of sea lion, with one of the world's biggest colony of them at plain sight from the bay. Visit the breathtaking home of the father of one of the survivors of the Andes tragedy, who's one of the most prestigious artists of the region. Take a picture with the famous hand in the sand! Also, let me tell you about my great grandfather Cesar Fournier, a french marine immigrant who protected this bay.
Departing from Montevideo, we arrive to the Mount of St Anthony where you'll be able to visit a little temple raised towards him, as well as an incredible panoramic view of the bay and the city. We'll then go directly to Punta del Este, where we will visit: Fishermen shops in the port next to sealions The "Los Dedos" Monument Great Britain Square (where the Ajax's anchor is located at the centre) The 4 Seas Corner -where you'll see water from every cardinal point- The Virgin of Candelaria Church The Italian Volcanic Ash Beacon Meteorology Station of Punta del Este 3-cannon Medium Battery The Sculpture paying Tribute to Magellan's World-Round Expedition (first of its kind) The Punta del Este Port with the Customs Headquarters Jose Ignacio If you are interested in doing either this tour or a modified version of it, but surpass the number of passengers here stated, please feel free to get in touch and request a customized version of the tour for which an appropiate budget will be provided.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will use a Civic Honda sedan car or similar.

I could also pick you up from your hotel, from the bus station or even from the airport!
