Hello! Welcome to the city of Montevideo! My name is Gabriela and I have been dedicated to tourism for 16 years. My interest in different cultures has led me to live in different countries, such as Canada and Brazil. Once settled back in my hometown, Montevideo, I have dedicated myself to tourism in order to link and connect our visitors with new experiences. Due to my long experience in this area, I know that most people are pleasantly surprised by our city for various reasons, which I invite you to discover personally. Montevideo is open, friendly, calm and with many cultural proposals that are permanently renewed. Although I propose certain basic circuits, the fact of having lived in different parts of the world allows me to clearly interpret the interest of each group, and adapt the original proposals. In the same way, I find it fascinating to receive feedback from those who visit us and teach us to revalue our own city. Our city receives visitors throughout the year, because throughout the year it is wonderful! I'm not just talking about tourists, but visitors who come for work, business, studies, exchanges. . . for all of them we adapt schedules and routes. If I speak in the plural, it is because for many years I have been working with a group of professional drivers, both for cars and vans, who complete the team. I'm a licensed guide, so I'm able to pick you up wherever you need (harbor, airport, hotel). I look forward to design your next experience in Montevideo, together! I was born in the "Jewish Quarter" of Montevideo. From my first years in that neighborhood of european immigrants, I keep unforgettable experiences very present in my memory. "The quarter", as we call it to this day, is the place par excellence that everyone interested in our culture and history should visit. I think that being born in such a multicultural place ignited in me the flame of interest in different cultures, languages. . . perhaps, that is the reason why I have been dedicated to tourism for more than 15 years. This is probably where my passion for meeting comes from, for generating links and for sharing. I like nothing more than receiving visitors and showing them our city, which already falls in love with those who know it. . . but when it comes to showing the places of our community, there is a mixture of emotions, personal memories and the pride of being part of a group that, in some way, had and still has a leading role in our society
What a delightful time we had with Gabriela. She is so friendly and caring and extremely knowledgeable at the same time. She explained everything to us with just enough information to not make it a history lesson. We enjoyed her personal rememberances from having grown up in some of the neighborhoods we visited. Our tour was very deep because our guide Gabriela, who is local, born and raised in Uruguay Jewish community and involved in assisting to one of the orthodox rabbi in writhing his books. She took us to Jewish memorials and historical places, got us inside synagogues and schools. Enthusiastic and knowledgable she is a perfect person to learn from. Highly recommend Alex K
Gabriela was an awesome guide. She knows the community well, provided great historical context, and was willing to customize our itinerary according to our specific interests. We came away with a good orientation of Montevideo, and an important understanding of the Jewish community there. We would love to tour with Gabriela in the future, as we are very sure that she has more to teach us about Uruguay.

In the tour that I propose, we will see, in addition to Jewish places, the most outstanding places in our city such as: • Independence Square (main square of the city) • Constitution Square - Old City center • Shoa Memorial • Old and new Jewish neighborhoods • First synagogue of the city (no entrancecurrently closed) • Montevideo agricultural market -maM • Legislative Palace - seat of the Congress • Golda Meir square • depending the day of the week we coud visit Yavne School, Vaad Hair Synagogue (built in 1943 and currently closed) or the Kehilá headquarters.
