I'm a University Gruaduate Tour Guide as well as National & Regional Tourism Technician fully Pfizer vaccinated against Covid-19. Ever since I was a child I always found myself continuously captivated by foreigners, be it by their languages or their cultures. Being part of a family of European immigrants and periodically exposed to different languages my entire life, this always proved to be second nature to me. In addition, I studied English for over a decade in one of the top schools in the country and to this day continue to use it on a daily basis. Thanks to this, I was able to obtain The University of Michigan's Certificate of Proficiency in English. As part of my Tourism education, I attended the United Nation's World Tourism Organization's First Seminar on the International Code for the Protection of Tourists and hold a Touristic Management certificate emitted by the Ministry of Commerce of China. I am proud to say I now have a decade of experience working in Tourism, during which I've had the privilege to provide services for worldwide organizations such as UNESCO, the UN Environment Programme, the Organization of American States & the Inter-Parliamentary Union. I've also provided tours to politicians such as South Carolina's Senate Minority Lead Brad Hutto and the Minister of Natural Resources of Guyana Vickram Bharrat. On a more personal note, being born and raised in Uruguay (the only place I ever lived in) I am wholeheartedly acquainted with its ins & outs, and feel genuine enthusiasm every time I get the opportunity to share these gems hiding in plain sight with others. I fully believe every person is unique and experiences this country in a different way, but my job is to guarantee this experience is remarkable for everyone. Even though there is a certain structure in the private tours I offer, these are always flexible to a degree, and able to be customized as to fulfill your unique expectations. I sincerely hope we can get to know each other and go around my beautiful country together!

Take the chance to go on a tour that encompasses the essential points you need to see to get to know our city in its unique diversity. Starting in the original Montevideo area, we'll cross the barrier where the old wall used to surround the city for a century, and delve deeper into modern day Montevideo. You'll get to see the 3 main squares of the city with the primordial Cathedral of our country where our first President is buried, see where our current one works, get lost in our wonderful Agricultural Market, visit the only FIFA stadium declared monument of global football (which will hold 2030's World Cup inaugural match) and entice your eyes with the beautiful sight of our old quarries turned into a lake. In just a half day tour, I guarantee you'll come across a plurality of bird species, all sorts of varied architecture, stunning historical sculptures and regular locals going around their daily lives. This is not a tourist-bubble tour, but a real, genuine bonding opportunity with this unique city.
Were we to start at the port, this would be in an accurate order. However the starting point may well vary to better adjust to your comfort: ·We'll start by visiting the Port Market, a 19th vanguard architectural feat. ·We'll proceed to Zabala Square, from where you'll get to see the sea from 3 different cardinal points! ·Next, we'll visit the National Post Office Tower, an institution that predates our country. ·Then it's on to Constitution Square with its beautiful marble fountain & our Metropolitan Cathedral. ·Later, we'll reach Independence Square with the Executive Tower. ·Next, we'll drive past our Parliament next to one of the headquarters of the Electoral Court, and continue towards our lovely Agricultural Market. ·Afterwards, we'll visit Batlle Park with the Carriage Monument & Centenary Stadium. ·We'll continue to the Old Quarries & Lake, before returning. If this itinerary does not suit your interests, I'm always able to provide you with a customized tour that better fullfills them.

For up to 2 passengers, we will use a Chevrolet Prisma sedan car or similar. For 3, we will use a H1 Hyundai, Staria or similar. For 4 or more, we will use a Renault Master van. In every case with free WIFI and air conditioning.
Montevideo, Montevideo Department, Uruguay
I could pick you up from your hotel, from the airport, the Cruise Ship Port, or any other location of your choice. For the purpose of the chronological narrative of the tour, I would recommend to start in the Port, although we can of course adapt to other points.
