I'm a tour guide in Uruguay that likes to show visitors regular touristic places but also, some others that are not so common. My guests will hear unusual stories about our history, music hits, sports epics, traditions, culture, and after that, I'm absolutely sure they will have a different impression of our "little great" country. . . . I was guiding tours in my country since 1996. In 2004, I was leading and coordinating transportation services for the US Forces during the XLVI UNITAS multinational maritime exercises, Atlantic Phase in Uruguay. Presidential visits to our country with their committees like George Bush, Raúl Chavez and Nicolás Maduro But also my activity as a Sports Journalist broadcaster since 1980, gave me possibility to participate in two Olympic Games, other two Pan American Games, a World Basketball Champion, several "Americas" Basketball qualifying tournaments for them, letting me knowing many countries, people and cultures. I was guiding tours in my country since 1996. Before that my main activity was as a Sports Journalist, broadcasting since 1980. This gave me the possibility to participate in two Olympic Games, other two Panamerican Games, a World Basketball Champion, several "Americas" Basketball qualifying tournaments for them, letting me knowing many countries, people and cultures. Montevideo, capital of Uruguay is a small city that owns and european atmosphere. . . Peaceful and quiet with a past telling stories about Portuguese and English trying to take control over it against Spain, and some other related stories to the 2nd World War -in addition to some other hits that happened here- will make Montevideo visitors' experience, really unforgettable. We really enjoyed exploring Montevideo with Hebert. He has a nice sense of humor, is very knowledgeable of the area and is proud of his community. His van is very spacious and comfortable. It easily accommodated our four person group and would handle double that if necessary. Herbert was very accommodating to our interests and made some really good suggestions for things to do on our tour. We would definitely use him again.
Hebert was a fantastic tour guide. Picked our group up from our hotel and showed us all the highlights of Montevideo and explained the history. Kept everyone in our group from age 19 to age 87 interested in the tour. We could dictate how much time to spend outside the shuttle bus at each stop. Highly recommend on your first day to learn about each neighborhood.
Hebert is a delightful guide, seems to know everyone in the city so we nicknamed him “the mayor” he was greeted by so many! His guide expertise is only surpassed by his sports knowledge having been a sportscaster in a previous life, next time we will take him up on a full Uruguay barbeque that he and his wife host! Very nice transportation and hardly any traffic on a Saturday.

Downtown area: 18th of July Avenue. Congress Building - National Telephone Company Tower (Dubai's style) - Agricultural Market. Prado Park and neighbourhood: own President's house- official President's Residence. The Stagecoach and Charrua Indians monuments. Batlle's Park: 1st World Soccer Cup Stadium- "La Carreta" monument. The Promenade: Punta Gorda and Carrasco high level neighborhoods- City Sign- Pocitos Beach- Punta Carretas.
