Orientational Historic Charleston Highlights Walking Tour

As North America's onlyEnglish Walled City( no longer walled) we will explore where those walls were and explore inside as well. As one of the four wealthiest cities in Colonial America our rich history is evident from the beautiful Architecture that goes back to colonial/pre-revolutionary war style with historic house museums, and public buildings that were relevant then and now! Born and raised in Charleston you will be walking with a native who you will soon discover seems to know many of the people we pass on the street, and they know me! This place is special to me and I enjoy the opportunity to share with folks who have come to walk in the steps of history! I've been lucky to have worked and played here and continue to discover new and interesting things almost every day!

Let's walk America's most historic city! Charleston, South Carolina presents the opportunity to stroll through history, from the beginnings of one of the early colonial cities and one of the original thirteen colonies. As a general history tour we will walk by the sites listed already to include: * Rainbow Row * Four Corners of Law * Old Exchange Building and Provost Dungeon * High Battery Wall with views of Charleston Harbor * Historic churches and homes * Tours can be modified to include house museums and other historic buildings that are open to the public if planned in advance Plan on a minimum of a two hour tour, walking, by car and/or any combination of the two!
