As a Charleston native, I grew up emersed in its history and folklore. From the Revolutionary War to Gullah legends, I was amazed that such a small city could hold so many stores. Like many Charlestonians before me, I fell into the arts as a way to tell these stories. As an actor and entertainer, I have spent my life learning to find connections to others through words. As a storyteller, I strive to paint this city's tales into the minds of my listeners as vividly as possible. And as a researcher, I am committed to finding the truth behind the stories. I obsess over the details and the connective tissue between then and now. I want others to see this town the way that I do, beautiful despite its flaws, a city of living history. They call us the Holy City, welcome to Charleston! I have an extensive background in storytelling and performance. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Performance Theatre from the College of Charleston as well as a Writing Degree from the Second City in Chicago. I was a stand-up comedian for 10 years as well as an actor of stage and screen for 20+ years. I have been a fully licensed tour guide for 6 years and a Charleston native my entire life. All of the tours that I give are walking tours; a car and driver are not needed.

Charleston is considered one of the most haunted cities in the country, with ghost stories around every corner. However, the truth behind these tales is often more terrifying than the stories themselves. Being a native of Charleston, I have always been drawn to this aspect of the Holy City, this hidden history. . . As a 25 year veteran of storytelling and performance, I live for these tales and the opportunity to share them with others. As we visit the Waterfront and the Historic District, you will hear about the dark fate of Anna Ravenel, the ghost ship linked to Alexander Hamilton's killer, and how Blackbeard took Charleston hostage, to name just a few. Thoughout the tour, we'll dive into Charleston's history of piracy, wars, disasters, diseases, and duels. You will see Charleston from its beginnings to the modern day through the lens of its hauntings. On this walking tour, we'll be covering approximately 1 mile in distance.
·We will begin our tour by meeting at Charleston's Customs House, on East Bay Street. ·From there, we'll visit the Old Exchange to hear about the Gentleman Pirate's fate and about an apparition on the Battery. ·Then on to the most haunted street in Charleston where you'll learn about the war responsible for those restless spirits. ·Next, we will make our way to King St. where you'll hear a tragic tale of a lost lover. ·Finally, after touching on the Holy City's darkest haunting, we will visit St. Phillips Church, where the most famous ghost in Charleston resides. *Of course, if there's still time, there's always more stories to tell. ·Our tour will finish at the City Market, not far from our starting point. Please note, this itinerary can always be customized upon request & according to your preferences.
