Hi! Thanks for looking me up. Before I tell you about myself, let me give you some feedback from some recent reviews: “Loona curated a wonderful London tour for me, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. His depth of knowledge, sharp insights, and ability to tailor the experience made all the difference. Loona even got us behind the scenes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the tour. He struck the perfect balance, able to ‘read the room’, providing fascinating details without overwhelming us with minutiae. Beyond his expertise, Loona was great company. He made the entire experience engaging, enjoyable, and memorable. Truly outstanding!” – Craig Mundie, Chief Strategy Officer, Microsoft 2006 to 2014, Technology Advisor to Presidents Clinton and Obama, co-author ‘Genesis’ with Henry Kissinger and Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google "I've been on tours of the best museums in the world. Loona is hands down the absolute best tour guide I have ever experienced. He is energetic, smart, charismatic, and engaged. My wife and I brought three teenage boys with us on the tour. They were enthralled the entire time. Loona made the material real. It came to life in unexpected ways. His knowledge and mastery of the museum is nothing short of stunning. There are many guides offering tours of museums in London If you are lucky enough to get a tour with Loona, then you will know that you've had a tour with the absolute best." David, Pennsylvania, USA "Loona was thoughtful, incredible at telling the history and making us understand why certain objects were important with finesse and engaging storytelling. Our kids and us had the best time at a museum in our lives. Thank you. We will be back. And we will forever recommend Loona as a guide." Jeppe, Denmark So about me: I've made multiple TV appearances on history shows on BBC and Sky, I've been tour guiding since 2006 and I was an official British Museum tour guide where I learned my craft to communicate with passion, engagement and fun. I have a Masters Degree from the University of Cambridge. I am also a voice actor (you may have heard my voice on audio guides in museums somewhere!). and founder of London City Steps, a social enterprise that has helped thousands of young people from under-privileged backgrounds via a love of guiding. The words people describe me in my reviews are passionate and knowledgeable and someone who can connect you with the vibe of a place. I believe history comes alive with guided walks that are educational, fun and most of all about interesting stories that fascinate and connect all of us. There's no where else I'd rather be than on a walk around London telling people about the rich culture of this amazing metropolis. I give a range of guided walks, virtual tours, customised private tours and jogging tours of London which I research and write myself, so my tours are unique - get ready for some new stuff! So how did I become a tour guide? Well, I wrote a letter to the British Museum asking them to train me as an official museum guide. In return I would work for them free of charge (I told you I was passionate about this!). When my letter didn't get a reply, I wrote another, then another, then another. In the end the British Museum relented and one night they invited me in to the museum after the public had left and was led through the dark galleries by torchlight. It was a privilege to be trained by them and I got access to first-hand accounts and materials not available to non museum tour guides. When it came to giving the tours I loved it. I really enjoyed meeting the public, telling them about the stories behind what they saw and even hearing their opinions too. I even supervised sleepovers with the mummies! Sometimes I would have to correct their opinions. For example, on one occasion a lady came in with her young son and said, 'Oh look Johnny, this is a spear that the cavemen used to kill dinosaurs with. ' I whispered to her, 'Actually humans and dinosaurs never co-existed. ' She replied, 'Of course they did. Haven't you seen Jurassic Park?' After the museum I started to give guided walks in central London, and things started to snowball after that. I made a few TV appearances, was invited to the Genocide Museum in Rwanda to record and set up their audio guides, and I co-founded a social enterprise that gave over 900 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds new skills via tour guiding. When Covid arrived I converted many of my tours in to virtual tours and I'm now a speaker on several online platforms and have been invited to schools and museums to speak. I hope that's given you a bit of a sense of me, my passions and why I love what I do. I have several tours both real and virtual, and am able to set up a bespoke tour for you too. If you think what you want is too specific for personalised tour, why not challenge me to research and deliver one. London is so immense, it has something for everyone. I have access to a vehicle as well so can do day trips, Oxford, Cambridge, Bletchley Park, Stonehenge and more as well as along the river Thames. I look forward to guiding you one day. Best wishes, Loona
