I would like to welcome you to London, my home and the city I love. As well as being an experienced Blue Badge Tour Guide (the ultimate qualification in guiding) I am also a City of London Guide, the City of Westminster Guide and Tate Gallery Guide, so wherever we go you'll be in good hands. Only Blue Badge guides are permitted to guide in certain locations, such as Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London. My aim is to provide you with enthusiastic informative private tours which ensure that your London experience will be the best. I was born in the North of England but spent part of my childhood living in India and the Middle East. I moved to London for a year to study on a postgraduate course and never left - working, bringing up my children and developing my career in guiding here. Apart from a few years living in Japan and Singapore London has been my home for 30 years. I believe there is something for everyone here, 2000 years of history rubbing shoulders in a contemporary city with modern architecture, fashion and art. Whatever you are interested in, whether it is castles, palaces, traditions, galleries, museums or modern culture I can tailor a tour for you. My bespoke tours include walking tours, tours by public transport ( bus, tube, boat or train), or I can organize a car with a driver or a minibus. Within London we can cover the major sites--Westminster Abbey, Royal London, Buckingham Palace, Changing of the Guard, Churchill War Rooms, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London or explore less well-known districts like Bermondsey, Shoreditch or Spitalfields. Out of London Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath, Dover, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle are a few of the many wonderful places that can be easily reached in a day trip. I hope to see you soon. . . . Liz Public liability insurance Blue Badge London Tour Guide - this is the highest qualification tour guides can achieve. Overview of your London tour

I guide in several museums and galleries in London and I love them all, but IF I had to chose my favourite it would have to be the Victoria and Albert museum. The stunning classical architecture of the museum is almost an exhibit of its own. This museum is pretty eclectic with exhibits ranging from sculpture to paintings, ceramics to carpets, furniture to fashion and the most amazing jewellery gallery (where else could you find a coronet designed for Queen Victoria by her husband Prince Albert, Beyonce's butterfly ring and Freddie Mercury's collection of art deco vanity boxes all under one roof?) I like to take overseas visitors (and local visitors) through the British Galleries as it gives a really accessible overview of our history since the 1500s. And my top tip is that it is much less crowded than the British Museum!

Oh My Goodness! If there is a better guide than Liz, then I don't know who they might be. I had a wonderful tour at the Victoria & Albert, curated to my area of interest. Liz's expertise is phenomenal. Information is presented in a lighthearted and whimsical way that is very appealing. History and art are presented in a way that non art and non history lovers can appreciate them. The museum is so big, but Liz brings it down to a manageable size for her clients, showcasing collection highlights as well as the building's history. I would happily take whatever tour Liz offered. She is just terrific!

Elizabeth is simply the best of the best ! Engaging , knowledgable , warm , informative . I’ve the privilege of using many guides over the years , most have a massive breadth of knowledge but some tend to talk at you rather than engage . Elizabeth is certainly knowledgeable and uses it to converse and explain but obviously keeps a keen eye on what is of what peaks the interest of her clientele . Guides can be an added expense but I in my humble opinion , a good guide brings the subject matter completely alive with the backstory . I had a delightful and fascinating day with Elizabeth…..do yourself a favour and book her . She’s a cracker ! Thank you , so much Liz .

What a great museum in London with an outstanding guide! Elizabeth opened the floodgates to an orderly and comprehensive decorative history of the vast British Empire. We appreciated her thorough meeting directions and her preliminary introduction to the outline of her tour. Her knowledge and sense of order in presenting this vast amount of history and treasures made the experience unforgettable. We recommend Elizabeth and this particular museum to anyone in the London area. A+ for this tour and guide.

Your London tour itinerary

Highlights tour of the Victoria & Albert museum, duration 2 and half hours. This museum has the most wonderfully decorated cafe. If you need a refreshment break during or after your tour we can pause there. I can customise this tour to suit you and if there is anything you specially wish to see there just let me know.
