Hi, my name is Lesley and it is a pleasure to meet you. I am deeply passionate about Scotland and all things Scottish and I am very proud and privileged to be able to share my beautiful country with visitors from all over the world. I have been working as a tour guide since early 2017 having previously worked as a Police Officer, a job that took me across the lengths and breadths of the country and afforded me the opportunity to learn so much along the way. I am a keen amateur photographer and never tire of photographing this wee country that I live in. There are so many wonderful, wild and mysterious places in Scotland and I would love to be able to share them with you. From the castles and architecture in our ancient cities to the vast expanse of wilderness in our hills and glens, there really is so much to see and explore all with their own myths and folklore. It would be my honor to show you the sights of this amazing wee country, and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime, with lots of fun and laughs along the way. I am a retired Scottish Police Officer and have been a guide since 2017. SITOA Member (Scottish Independent Tour Operators Association) Please note; I am not a licensed guide and will not be able to guide you inside of historical monuments. I can, however, accompany you inside and provide a brief overview.

Our first stop on this tour is the majestic Inveraray Castle, the ancestral seat of the Dukes of Argyll, Chiefs of Clan Campbell since the early 15th century, and currently occupied by the 13th Duke & his family. The castle was also used as the location for the 2012 Downton Abbey Christmas special. Next, we will make our way to the nearby town with its quaint shops & traditional feel, you can take your time exploring the former Royal Burgh with an option to visit the famous Inverary Jail museum before enjoying lunch at a local pub or cafe. Rested & refreshed we will take our leave and travel to the bonny banks of Loch Lomond, enjoying the breathtaking scenery along the way. Here we will stop at some of the most picturesque viewpoints in Scotland, where you can enjoy amazing views across the loch. PLEASE NOTE: Invararay Castle is NOT open to the public on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. On these days a visit to Inveraray Jail is an option. This tour is only available between April and October.
