Ugar gave me a wonderful and thorough tour of the city--so many sites and amazing information about all of Istanbul history, past and current customs and lives of the diverse people of Istanbul. He also knew all the short-cuts and unique aspects of the city to give me far beyond the conventional tour. Please hire him. And his wife Gulizar guided me a second day for more of beautiful Istanbul.

Uğur is a fantastic tour guide and if you would like to get the best of Istanbul then I can highly recommend him. Uğur was clear from the start about safety and gave us a detailed walk through of how to be aware in the city. He spent time with us before the trip to understand what we would like to see and what experience we would like to have. Uğur organised the timings and the sequence of visits so we did not wait in a single line, despite it being one of the busiest times he had seen. We visited all the major attractions and then went to explore the markets – along with a hammam and shave! Uğur has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Istanbul and also an extensive network of contacts that used make our trip unforgettable.

We spent a great day with Uğur touring around the old section of Istanbul! Uğur was punctual and all our ticket access was sorted in advance so we could get the most of our time together! Uğur studied at the University in the centre of the old section so was extremely knowledgeable and clearly had affection the Istanbul which came through in his explanation of each of the historic sites we visited. Our agenda was packed, but Uğur was happy to accommodate changes! I thoroughly recommend taking a guided tour of the historic sights of Istanbul and have no hesitation in recommending Uğur as your guide for the day!

We had an absolutely wonderful tour of the Old City- Istanbul with Ugur. He understood our goals and carefully planned the day to maximize our ability to experience the sites, including purchasing our tickets in advance, and structuring the day around his experience with timing of crowds. With Ugur help, we were the first people in line for the Hagia Sophia! This allowed a unique experience we will never forget. Ugur was flexible, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended!

Ugar was perfect in every way. He made great suggestions but modified to fit our desires. He navigated the crowds of Eid well. He took us to great local dining venues. He helped us greatly in purchasing a Turkish rug. He helped us navigate local transportation.
