Private tour of half day city tour

Dilek was just great. She made it easy to meet, gave us the perfect amount of information (I’ve used TBL many times. Some guides want to give a grad-school level lecture on history that I don’t need. I like to hear the most interesting information without stopping for a lecture). She walked us through the big highlights then took us in public transportation to an area off the beaten path - exactly what we asked for.

Excellent tour. Warm and engaging, Dilek was a terrific tour guide. She was proactive in identifying some logistical challenges around our hotel. It was just one of the tours - perfect pace, informative and flexible as we tweaked options as we went. Highly recommended

This is a fascinating tour and what puts it over the top is Dilik, our intrepid guide! Here's what makes it a 5 star experience. 1) She met us at our hotel, no stress about getting somewhere in an unfamiliar environment and trying to pick your guide out of the crowd. 2) She covers all the details, paid for our subway passage and per-paid for the skip the line tickets to each of the attractions. (your reimburse her for the cost of the tickets). As for the sites we visited, they are spectacular! The Basilica Cisterns were the biggest surprise --and a welcome respite from the heat!. We loved it!

Dilek is AMAZING! You will not find a better guide. She is knowledgeable, a great communicator, flexible, kind, caring, easy to be with, and more. I was traveling with my two adult sons. One got sick while in Istanbul and Dilek did everything to help us get medical care, sat with us during the visit, talked to the medical provider in Turkish, and explained everything to us. When she toured with my older son and me, she accommodated all of our wishes, was flexible on time, took us everywhere we wanted to go, and gave excellent recommendations for things to do when we were not with her. She was patient, informative, efficient with transportation, accommodating with meeting places, … everything you could possibly want in a guide when in an unfamiliar and vast city. When we were not with her, she followed up to make sure we were doing well and had what we needed. Highest recommendation!!
