360 Istanbul Tour! Hidden Beauties combined with Food Tour

I highly recommend Metin! He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and incredibly easy to get along with. I toured Istanbul with my family, including my two children, and my oldest son said Metin was his favorite guide and that our day with him was the highlight of our trip to Turkey. Metin showed us the more local side of Istanbul, taking us to Karaköy and Kadıköy, which ended up being some of my favorite places to visit. He also recommended a local restaurant in Kadıköy that was one of the best meals we had during our trip, with excellent food and very reasonable prices. Kadikoy is a must!! Metin was extremely flexible and customized the tour to fit our interests, including a visit to Galata Tower. To top it all off, he dropped us off at a Turkish bath, which was the perfect way to end our vacation. Thank you, Metin, for giving our family such a memorable final day in Turkey. Highly recommended!

Wow, what a great tour. We had an extra day in Istanbul, so I was looking for something that did not include the major sites. This tour was a gold mine. It starts with a typical Turkish breakfast, but we had eaten at the hotel so he just went to the next item on his list. We rambled through neighborhoods (downhill!), enjoying antique and art stores. Down along the new ship port on the Bosphorus, we were impressed with the rejuvenation of the neighborhood, especially the baklava tasting at Gulluoglu. We hopped onto a ferry to ride over to the Asian side of the Bosphorus. What a lovely, busy area. The sights, the sounds, the smells were enticing. We partook of many treats, and visited several stores. What made this tour special was Metin's preference to show local life, and his outgoing personality. We wanted a little different type of tour To see all the local spots rather than all the usual spots and that’s exactly what we got. Metin is Also very knowledgeable and kind man. I definitely recommend this tour.

We appreciated Metin's enthusiasm and knowledge about his beautiful city and country. Although we only had one day, we felt honored that he made every accommodation to see and experience various aspects of Turkey's vibrant and beautiful culture. In addition to seeing the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, he introduced us to some street food, explained the area's history, and took us on the ferry to the Asian side to eat authentic Turkish dinner and experience the incredible markets. We hope to come again!

I would give Metin a 6 star review if possible. He knows the city so well and knows the best places where the locals do their shopping, he knows where to buy original (not touristy) turkish food. I didn't like turkish desserts before Metin showing us the real stuff. I love this new side of Istanbul. He made our visit a memorable one. Thanks Metin for sharing your Istanbul.
