I am a professional tour guide, licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey after graduating from Istanbul Arel University’s Department of Tourist Guiding in 2016. TAKSIM SQUARE will be the starting point of our journey, followed by a very short and pleasant walk along lively ISTIKLAL STREET, where you’ll experience delicious local foods and drinks. GALATA TOWER, one of the best spots in Istanbul for unforgettable photos (depending on timing). OLD CITY (Constantinople) will be our next destination. HAGIA SOPHIA, shaped by both Byzantine and Ottoman history, will be one of the highlights of the tour. BLUE MOSQUE, famous for its elegant domes and blue İznik tiles, will offer a glimpse into Istanbul’s imperial past. HIPPODROME, once the social center of Constantinople, and BASILICA CISTERN, the mysterious underground reservoir of the Byzantine era, will complete our journey through historic Istanbul. GRAND BAZAAR, one of the oldest covered markets in the world, will offer a unique local shopping experience. The tour can also be customized according to your interests.
